"After one week of work in the hay field I can say this seems like a good little tractor. My wife picked this one out for herself. She is only 4'11" tall and completely new at tractor driving so she had some specific requirements that were important. Her requirements were that it had to be comfortable, easy to get in and out of, easy to learn, easy to drive, good AC, and good visibility for a short person. My requirements were that it had to have something besides a dry clutch, quick attach loader, Euro standard loader attachments, be able to run a 4x6 round baler, and pull 9' disk mowers and future upgrades to mower/conditioners. It met all requirements with ease except for driver comfort. The seat does have an air ride platform but is thin on the padding and has no fold up arm rest. To be honest, the seat is just fine for 95% of everyone and it is a nice seat. But after shopping and seeing other tractors in this class, the seat does seem sub-par. On the up side you can buy from a WIDE selection seats on-line that will fit the Grammer air ride platform. We are picky about comfort and the seat is no big deal. At the time and area of our shopping, this tractor was priced very competitive against Kubota, JD 50xxE series, NH, and even the Zetor Proxima and Major series. It was not the cheapest, but it did offer the best value overall in our opinion. Things that tipped the value up in our opinion was the well known Perkins engine, Quickie brand loader, and the Power Reverser shuttle shift thing. As expected, mowing and moving hay was no big deal and it was nice and fun to operate. It did fill in as an emergency baler tractor that gave us two surprises related to it's compact size. One was fuel capacity. The Zetor Forteria has a 48 gallon tank that it can run the baler for 2 days on. The Tmax's tank is understandably not that big since it is a compact while the Fortera is a full size. The second surprise was the radiator screen filter---it works very well. The tractor sits low and was close to the windrows where it sucked up a lot of dust and hay thereby plugging up the radiator filter. The tractor did not come close to over heating but the AC failed to blow as cool. While these two surprises caused and aggravating stop it was really quick and easy to fix and gave me a reason for a quick check the baler. In all I have every reason to believe it will be a good tractor for our intended use. The 4 out of 5 stars for build quality comes after comparison to the Deutz-Fahr. Sort of like comparing a Chevey to a Benz. "
