"When I moved to my new homestead on 25 acres in Upstate NY I knew that I needed a tractor. Not knowing anything about tractors I began my research. Starting at the local equipment supplier. I was looking at a basic 20 hp class tractor. When I was quoted a price it was much height than anticipated for a non-heritage brand of compact tractor. So started the exhaustive research and nationwide search for the best tractor at the best price. Well the McCormick CT47 stood out as the best value in power and features per dollar spent by far. All that was left was to find someone local to sell me one for the "internet prices" that you will find if you shop the various online equipment dealers. Well in the end a 47hp full featured 4wd tractor with shuttle shift transmission and a 6' heavy duty loader for under 20k is pretty awesome. If I went with a Heritage brand I would have been hard pressed to get a 25 HP with similar features for that price. Now for the best news: This tractor will do anything that I ask it to. It has been 100% reliable. It is a strong runner. It is easy to start even in sub zero weather. My main uses have been bushhogging, earth moving/leveling and HEAVY clearing of brush and trees. This is one of the best purchasing decisions that I have ever made!"
