"I have used this machine for a variety of tasks around the homestead. It has been a valuable tool to me in the few years I've had it. The attachments have been flawless in their quality and the ability to be used fairly easily. The tractor was a little higher in price than some of the others but buying from a known and long term and reputable dealer more than offset the extra cost. If I were in the market again, I would definitely buy another one just like this. "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Great dealer support and easy to use. Cons: Wish I had bought the next size up but this one is great. The loader could use a bit more capacity and a third valve. Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 Acres Location: USA IL I also considered buying: Kubota B2400

"I have had this unit for almost three months now and I really like it. I have not had any issues with it. Other than checking the fluids and topping them off I have just used the heck out of it. In addition to the FEL and BH that come with the 2450, I added a 60" MMM. I use the mower at home and at a club I am a member of. The club grass takes about three hours to mow and if I had anything smaller and not as tough it would take a lot longer. I have a couple of hills but, with the 4 wheel drive it takes care of most of it and the looking rear differential takes care of the rest of it. The Yanmar 3 cyl. diesel is a real mizer on fuel and that is a real pleasure over a gas model the same size. The maintenance is easy to do on this unit as is removing the FEL and BH when all you want to do is mow. I have mowed with the FEL still attached, that was difficult gauging fences, etc. Not the tractors fault just the operator. The backhoe is very friendly and makes removing roots that would take days to do take less than an hour to complete. The tires that came on the unit do not tear up the yard as long as I run it in 2 wheel drive. 4 wheel drive and sharp turns on the grass is a no-no and really tears up the grass. If I had it to do over again I would get this very same unit as for my applications it is great! I am considering getting a post hole digger, 3 point hitch, an 8" bucket (mine came with the 12" bucket) and I am sure I will figure some other implements that I will need as time goes on. I would go back to the same dealer if I had it to do over again."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Fuel economy. Takes GT and slightly larger implements. Goes anywhere I stick it, and I am not easy on it. Fits in my 7X16 enclosed trailer with the FEL and BH on as well as the MMM. Cons: The brake lever is not at the proper angle to help keep your foot from slipping off and I have a hard time telling the fuel tank is full and not overflowing it. But in its defense it is on the side and you don't have to stand on the tractor to pour in the fuel like a lot of them. So I really consider those cons as nits and will be taking care of those problems myself. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA GA I also considered buying:

"I wish I had more time on this tractor before I wrote this review, but the ground is frozen here so I am limited to just moving snow. So I purchased this machine with loader, backhoe and a 60" mower deck. Traded my Kubota B7200 in on it and the dealer gave me a great deal! I have added a backhoe thumb and a canopy then added lights on front and rear of canopy. Only thing I need now is a quick attaching bucket so can add other implements like forks etc. Still searching for a manufacturer that has this! So far I am impressed with this machine."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Everything. Cons: Needs a quick attaching bucket setup like a skidsteer. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA ME I also considered buying: John Deere 2305, Kubota BX25, Kubota B2630

"I needed another tractor to compliment my 49 Cub and to replace my worn out MTD garden tractor. I looked at the most popular models and narrowed it down to the M-F and this one. I went to the local M-F/NH dealer and was told they no longer sell the Subcompacts and that I needed a compact. I then went to the CCY Dealer and found he did not stock the 2450 but he was happy to get one for me. We made the deal with MMM, Grass Catcher, Turf Tires, and aftermarket Canopy. The dealer threw in the 3PH and 8" bucket. The Cub has not been started since. Of course due to its size and weight it is limited but has been able to do anything I need it for. I added a tooth bar to the front bucket (highly recommend). It has good power, runs smooth, hydraulics work smoothly and quiet, low fuel consumption and mows well. What I don't like is the hose connections for the bucket are under the platform and require crawling on the ground to disconnect. The bucket could be easier to remove, but it's not real difficult. The mower deck is hard to remove, but can usually stay on. The grille guard has a poor latch and has come loose while in motion causing it to dig into the ground (it is now bent). The grass catcher clogs easily and is extremely difficult to remove and reinstall (don't buy it). I have removed it, its not worth the time to install. Another review says the BH is hard to R&R, I find it very easy (the hose should be longer). It takes less then 5 minutes one or off. I have been told that the BH controls are reversed from whats normal, it doesn't bother me since I have never used one before. So far I am still very happy overall with this purchase, it has performed very well, digs well, and mows great. I would recommend it to anyone that needs a tractor this size, unless you need to r&r the grass catcher on a regular basis."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Good power, low fuel consumption, good lift capacity, dual pumps, shifts on the fly, and price. Cons: Grass catcher is extremely difficult to r&r, and a poor grille guard latch. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA OK I also considered buying: Kubota BX24, Massey Ferguson GC2310

"I spread shale for my driveway with front bucket with ease, used to dig trench for drainage pipe in the rain , and it never ripped up the grass. It's easy on and off and handles great."

"I have only had the tractor for two days and 4 hours but I like it--it makes most jobs easier. I dug out an old stump and am looking at another tomorrow; both would not have been dug out at all if it wasn’t for the "new toy", as the wife calls it. I started this review with the idea that I wanted to make note of the Seller, Emerich in Charlton, NY. They did what they had to, to get the sale and more to make sure I was satisfied. The price was the best anywhere, added accessories were interesting, including an Echo Weed Whacker that was thrown in. So far the tractor has run great and done its job, time will tell and I will be back. ltr"

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Nice Size and powerful. Cons: BH Bucket could be a little deeper, nothing other than that. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA MA I also considered buying: Kioti CK20
