"Hi, My name is Venda and I am from the Czech Republic. I bought the Tractor Shibaura SD 2200 2 WD from a local dealer who sell used tractors. When purchasing, dealer told me that if I buy the tractor in original condition with no repairs I can’t get a warranty on its operation. The tractor has the original chassis parts, electrical system and bonnet. Tractor was in great condition with 1850 operating hours. Vendor only changed the oil filling in engine and gearbox. He also replaced the oil filter, coolant and the battery 30Ah/12V. The engine heated-up, jumped after a few turns, gear change also does not cause any problems. With just a few meters away I found it had a lot of play in the steering system. So I decided to repair the steering system. I’ve dismantled the steering, replaced bearings (DIN number 30206 J) and seals (40x62x8). Because the tractor had no hitch, I’ve manufactured my own. Now I have two custom tow hitches (photo). I’ve collaborated with my son on the repairs, who designed the color change of the hood and refurbished chassis parts. You can judge for yourself if we’ve succeeded. Take a look at the photos."
"To now the only problem I had with it was a bad water pump. Had a hard time finding one, had to settle for a ford pump that my fan would not fit. Got an electric fan on Ebay, and it works fine. The ford pump was $125 and the fan was $25. Other then that only trouble was three point hitch quit. Replaced piston seal with metric seal from local hydraulic shop. My only wish was that it had power steering. I would love to find an conversion kit to install power steering. It has a Bulldog loader, and I converted a Bobcat forklift attachment to fit it not quick change. have to pull the pins. All in all was a great buy. "
"Purchased as refurbished grey market unit with new front end loader. Was in great condition except the steering system had not been refurbished and had a lot of play. Replacement parts for the steering system are outrageously expensive so I rebuilt it myself with parts from a local bearing supply and a few hours of machine work. The tractor has been very dependable and required nothing other than normal maintenance other than the steering. I may convert the steering to a power assist unit. "
