"I bought this machine after looking at the Kubota L3540 and equivalent John Deere. The Massey Ferguson was $5000 less than the others and the fit and finish was amazing. Secondly, the service and attention at the dealer was exceptional. The Kubota dealer made me feel like he was doing me a favor and I had to chase him for information. The service for the couple of little things I needed to know are always answered quickly and the service manager calls back himself when you have a question. I purchased the backhoe and front snow blower with the full cab. I clean about 2 miles of snow in the heat and warmth of the cab in a t-shirt at minus 20 degrees. The unit starts well after being plugged in for 30 minutes at these temps. I could not be happier. "
"My husband is disabled. We bought him a 2015 tractor and have had nothing but issues with it with the clean-up cycle/emissions. They kept working on it, but it would keep having problems. They finally traded it for a 2017 which we got it on February first 2018. He used it for removing snow, have had it for a week and it is messed up going up the hill the back end felt like it was dog tracking and making a grinding sound then an emission light came on. Here we go again. "
"So far a nice tractor, I traded in the Kubota L3200 for a little more horsepower and a lot more weight. The cab is nice and comfortable, and the gauge and switch placements are good."
"This is a strong solid tractor for a 36 horsepower. The hydrostatic transmission does not whine and has given me no problems. Massey Ferguson has built a strong contender in this class. "
"I bought this tractor after reading a lot of reviews and visiting several dealerships of different brands. My decision was finally decided by just how much tractor I could get for my $25,000 budget. I thought I wanted a 30 hp. tractor with loader, 60" mower, and rake. This size tractor would meet my needs for mowing, taking care of our horses and plowing snow. That fit the John Deere 2032R and Kubota B3200 perfectly and I would only have one machine to maintain. The decision to buy the 1736 was based on cost quality of this tractors fit, finish stability, and hydraulics. I drove and used all comparable tractors: John Deere 2035, Kubota Grand L3540, 3560 and New Holland 2035. The Massey 1736 I felt had the best ergonomically friendly controls with lots of room to get on and off from both sides of platform. The loader is strong as well as the 3-pt. lift of 2500 lbs. at 24" from ends. I got a 66" heavy duty bucket, a 66" quick attach dozer blade with hydro power angle and lift, R4 tires, and hydro-static transmission, plus all the other perks like throttle mapping, cruise control and a button on rear fender to start an stop rear PTO. This is one fine tractor that will do whatever I need it to do within reason. I have moved 50 yards of composted manure graded my driveways raked horse arena cleaned up brush piles and have prepared base for concrete ails in barn. I chose the Massey Ferguson 1736 over the John Deere 2032R with loader mower and box blade and Kubota B3200 with same because the cost was $1,000 more than I was quoted for 1736. Massey Ferguson was $4,000-$6,000 cheaper than Deere 2035 and Kubota Grand L3560 with just the loader. We are aqua members and John Deere offers 18 percent off MSRP and Massey offers equine discounts if you own, breed, & train horses---Kubota nothing. All tractors I considered are fine tractors, but I liked this one the best and it was the biggest bang for the buck! "
