You Can't Kill This Tractor! 16K With Backhoe!
rating
4.2

Model year: 2015 Date Purchased: 2017-01-15 Number of Hours: 120

"If I could rate this tractor 10 stars, I would. I just built a home last year so I've been doing a ton of cleanup and landscaping including breaking up a cement slab from an old barn. I love this tractor. For only $15700 I got a tractor, loader, and backhoe! Crazy! Though my model only has 23 horsepower, it slams through everything I put it through. That's tree roots, tearing up a cement slab I jackhammered, and about 20 dump truck loads of dirt and landscaping so far! This tractor feels solid and is solid! Easy to maintain. Again, for 16,000 you can't beat this machine!! "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Durable, powerful, ease of use, price point Cons: A little light in the rear end without the backhoe, as expected Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA FL I also considered buying:

"I have 50 hours on my Massey GC1710 with 54-inch box blade and 54-inch mulching deck. The tractor itself is hard to beat. For me, it had the best operator platform. It has a very good layout with easy to find levers and easy to read gauges, along with a strong 22.5 horsepower engine. I don't see the need for anything more. Its easy on fuel, powerful and very quiet for a compact diesel. I found it quieter than the competition. The loader is strong and well built. It has a lot of lift capacity for a small tractor. I have KBOHs and they work awesome. The backhoe is very responsive and can easily pull the tractor! I have pulled stumps with it, dug trenches, etc. with no problem. I do have the thump and its worth it. The mulching mower is awesome, cuts well and there is no more sweeping up grass clippings. Too bad its not a drive over, but they do had a 60-inch drive over deck. The box blade it well matched for it, but with the rippers all the way down, and if its over half full with dirt it will stop the tractor; however, the engine never bogged. I think you will have similar results with all sub-compact utility tractors. I gave it 4 stars in features because there isn't as much after market or factory options for it, which wasn't important to me as it had every thing I needed, but maybe its important to you. It has no 12 volt outlet or as many aftermarket attachments. I am more than happy with it. It is a worth while investment. "

"I am reviewing a GC1720, not a GC1710. I tried adding The GC1720, but for some reason it won't add. So I decided to review it under the GC1710, since they are basically the same tractor with just a few differences. The major difference is the horsepower difference. The GC1720 is rated at 25 horses. Other differences is minor, like an upgraded seat and the addition of a work light. Even though I have only had the tractor for a short time, I have used it to do some major tasks such as digging up and carrying a septic tank riser lid, using the front end loader to carry an old barrel full of waste, and cutting my two acres of grass. All task were completed with minimal effort."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Built to last, easy to remove front end loader, backhoe, and mid-mount mower Cons: None that I can think of Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA PA I also considered buying: John Deere 1025R
