"My father bought this tractor in Europe in the late 60's, and had it shipped to Nova Scotia. Great tractor, easy on fuel."
"Bought unit used. Have had to replace engine 2 times as the rod arm comes loose and causes major damage. Rebuilt 3rd engine 5 years ago but it uses oils and cannot get proper valve seals so oil runs into the cylinder. Parts are hard to find. Keep minor repairs up so it gets me by. Was a great work horse when first purchased. Maybe there is a collect out there that is interested? Most new products are not as well built and probably will not last as long either."
"Our MF 65 fits right in the yard. We could not afford green or orange paint, but, the trusty rusty filled the bill. We use it as needed to knock trees over and pull poles out of the ground. Purchased to work rather than restore, it will not be brought back to the glory it once had."
"Live this tractor."
"This tractor has been reliable for many years. Very few problems other than normal maintenance. Easy on fuel. Pulls very good for its size."
"Have a Massey-Ferguson 65 diesel. Purchased the for ease to get onto and off. "
"My Massey is a MF 65 MKII diesel, 58 hp. I have used this tractor around the farm for mowing (around 20 acres), blading snow, and working part of the ground. It does much more than I ever expected and with the differential lock it pulls the attachments great. Has been very reliable. Not long after I purchased the tractor I sandblasted and painted, looked great, I almost hated to use it. I purchased the Massey from the original owner. He and his father each purchased them new and his father passed away. He was selling his but keeping his fathers. "
"I had the tractors now, I bought the farm (lol). 100 acres. The tractors I have are two 684 int., one with cab 65 MF 8N Ford Kubota B1750 loader. I sold my other tractors (MF 50 loader, B275 int. loader, one 8n Ford, Mf 35). P.S. in the one pic you can see my 684 with cab."
"I bought my tractor from the 2nd owner off of Craigslist. He purchased it from the State of CT which had used it at a state work farm. I got it for a very decent price, $3k and it came with a FEL, rear weight and a snowplow. He also gave me all of the state records for it as well as a complete set of manuals. The machine came to me in great shape with a few weld repairs on the FEL that had the nicest welds that I have ever seen. It has been very reliable and does everything that it's supposed to. I've used it to landscape my property after putting on a large addition to my home. I've also used it to move snow and with last winter being a record year, it never skipped a beat. "
"This is the first time I own a land and tractor. I have no experience to operate tractors. I found one sell MF 65. He said it is good. I test drove and feel it's OK. I don't want to invest too much money in it. After the tractor was delivered to my land. I tried again. It runs about ten minutes then stopped. The seller started it again and told me it is okay. Then, I paid him. This problem happened again and again. At last burned the coil and stop to work. The other problem is transmission fluid leak. I don't know what cause the problem. Maybe I will sale it and buy a small one. Thanks for looking. "
