Model year: 1999 Date Purchased: 2007-05-02 Number of Hours: Over 4000

"Previously, I owned a 1975 Ford 4600 SU. I purchased this new in 1975 and it was my very first tractor. It was an outstanding tractor but it needed to go to sleep for a while. We used it as a heavy duty tractor for raking, mowing hay, and manure spreading. To make a long story short, it was underpowered for my hay mower, underpowered for pulling the spreader, especially up hill, and okay at best for the rake. I was looking for more power and more pulling ability. I went to the MODOT Auction and saw this pretty nice machine. It needed a new clutch and new rear tires. It had this really dumb canopy with a chinsy exhaust on it that went up and over the canopy. It also needed new tin and decals. I almost immediately purchased new tires, tin, and parts for the clutch. I ripped that canopy off, as well as the stack extension. Now I have a new stack on it and a new clutch and a new set of tires. I also have a new tin and decals. It is excellent at pulling the rake, mowing hay, and the spreader. I have pulled the batwing behind it one time when the Ford TW25 II was not running. It is excellent at doing almost everything. The only thing about it is that it can be somewhat stubborn when starting the power take-off. Occasionally, if the spreader is too full, it will start to stall out. This only happens when it is first used for the day. Overall, One of the best tractors I have ever owned or used!"
