"I bought this tractor and a Howse 7002 Mower for general ranch use. I'll be adding a loader used new drum cutter, used rake, new hay accumulator/grapple in the next few months. Already have a JD small square baler. We'll be making about 35 acres of horse quality hay for local sale. This tractor, at 81 HP and ample hydraulics seems to be a good candidate for a small haying operation. It has been very reliable and smooth, powerful for effortless use w/ the heavy 7' mower, easily cutting very dense grasses and weeds in our initial field renovations. The machine had an engine rebuild, new injector pump, refreshed hydraulics, all documented w/receipts from previous owner who had it in family since new. It was a real buy. The Perkins 318 diesel engine starts instantly and runs smoothly. It's a well-built machine and will let us get into a profitable side hay operation VERY reasonably. I'll review further once we start making hay in earnest."
"I use it for work in the forest and is very reliable, tough and robust enough. I got in very poor condition, restored and since then we serve excellent. The cabin is from the model 595, also the wet brakes is from model 595. The only drawbacks are: poor parking brake, 4WD downhill without machine brakes, hydraulic arm is not strong enough to work with hydraulic winch."
