"Every time you hit the key you have a surprise: oil leaks glow plugs, electrical problems, 3 sets of power take-off clutches, hydraulic pump, and the list goes on and on. I have also had to wait two and a half months for parts. I'm definitely going back to New Holland. "
"I only gave 4 stars on quality because of missing hardware. So far I found 1 HST link with no washer and pin. Also, the seat hinge pin should have a washer next to the cotter pin (pin broke while in use)."
"Your tractor is only as good as service and parts departments, and mine are seriously lacking. Its more like a college dorm than a professional tractor place. I have had nothing but issues. Once they got my signature on the finance forms, all communication stopped. A 5-year warranty means nothing unless the regional manager will approve it. My dealer got them to cover it, but it was not easy and I threw a fit. There was no compensation for putting me out 6 weeks. I had to deliver my own tractor and implements. I bought a backhoe, bush hog, and rototiller and got no instructions, photos, or showing me after asking someone to help me hook up 3-point hitch and power take-off. I have never used either. I almost took off my hand, and then chains ripped apart and the blade shredded inside the mower, I think from the angle or height, since no one helped me. If i bring it in, the warranty guy will say it is operator error and not covered. The warranty is useless. Get a better company that stands behind their customers and punishes dealers for bad service, bad communication, and no training. Both 3-point hitch connection arms broke off and I had to buy new ones at local tractor supply, which was more helpful than local Mahindra dealer. I can't figure out how to move the seat, can't figure out how to put the backhoe back on, and can't figure how to put rollover protection structures back. I am downright angry for wasting $30 grand. It is the most money I ever spent on something with wheels. I get, and continue to get, no help from local dealer."
"The day my tractor was delivered, I used it to get the van and trailer that delivered my 800-pound safe out of deep mud. I have used the backhoe to dig 40 feet of 8-inch water pipe out of crush-crete and replaced it with 15-inch double-wall culvert in about five hours. I spread 20 yards of mulch in 4 hours, and I have knocked down and spread 18 each 16-yard loads of fill dirt and 2 loads of crush-crete for a driveway using the bucket loader and a 4-foot box scraper. I used the box scraper and a 5-foot Titan landscape rake to finish about 1.5 acres and get it ready for seeding as my new lawn. It did all of that in 80 hours of engine time and while I am still learning to operate my implements efficiently. My small tractor works like a mid-size. The only reason I rated it less than 5 Stars for value is because I have realized I could have bought a bigger one for about the same price and, as every owner quickly learns, you can always find a use for a bigger tractor. It has had absolutely no maintenance issues. It is easy to operate, and hooking up implements to the 3-point hitch is just as easy as advertised. It is a great compact with mid-size capabilities, and built like a brick outhouse. "
"I bought this tractor for home use. It dies all the time with only 68 hours on it. The dealer wont help and says I had a 2 year warranty and that is all. It is not fuel related. I don't have a clue what it could be but am going to have to take it in to be serviced and pay a high fix-it fee for a brand new tractor. I should have bought a Kubota or Case like my brother said."
"Bought this for mowing and digging. Very good little machine. Completely satisfied. "
"I am very satisfied with the Mahindra Max 25. I looked at several SCUT's before buying the Max 25 HST. I live in N.E. Tennessee on top of a long ridge, with a little over 10 acres. Woods and about 5-6 acres of pasture to keep mowed. All of it on an incline, some really steep, some not. The Max 25 is heavy and stable, with the 4WD used as needed. It's heavy enough to keep me mowing safely, and not so heavy as to wreck the turf. It's pasture I mow, but keep it looking like a lawn. I previously owned a 1973 Simplicity Power Max, 4041. It served me well, but at 40 years old I was working on it more and more with parts getting harder to find and expensive. It had a belly mower 60”, and was not 4WD. The Mahindra does everything the 4041 did, much better, easier and faster. It cut my mowing time from 7 hours to under 5 per mow. And this Max 25 is more fuel efficient. It took 8 gallons of gasoline in the 4041 vs 5 gallons of diesel in the Max 25. I purchased my Max 25 with the front end loader (FEL), and belly mower (MMM). Both are great implements, being as rugged and tough as the tractor itself. As others have said, It has always been able to do what I wanted it to do. Without flinching. I also found buying the tractor very easy. At the time there was a No money down, Zero % interest, and 84 month financing promotion going on. And with the 5 year warranty, I could not pass it up. Very happy with this Mahindra Max 25 HST. Would I buy it again? Yes."
"I have enough land that I needed much more than a lawn tractor but not enough to warrant a full-sized tractor. The sub-compact size is perfect for me. My Mahindra Max came equipped with a hydro front-end loader, 60" belly mower, 25 HP Diesel Engine, Mid and Rear PTO and a nice Category 1 3 point hitch on the back. I looked a long time at other tractors and compared everything from features, to horsepower to frame structure to warranty. When comparing side by side, the Mahindra is simply built with more steel in the frame and front axle. When looking at the "Max" side by side with some other sub-compacts, the Mahindra makes the others look small by comparison. The warranty is hard to beat and the price is actually more competitive than Kubota or Deere. I actually couldn't find a reason not to buy it."
"Looking back on this winter, the purchase of the Max 25 was a perfect investment because of the amount of snow we have received in NW WI. No place to put the snow with plowing. Stacking the snow to 10' piles has helped a lot in keeping the driveway, parking and corral area clean. Added a 4' King Kutter last fall and mowing the pasture got easier."
"Great tractor. Best warranty in the business. It does everything I have tried with it, and has not let me down."
