"I've owned this for over a year now. I bought it with a front-end loader and snow blower. The blower works fantastically up here in Maine. I also have a box blade, bush hog, rotor tiller, and finish mower. It is a great little tractor and has done everything I've asked of it. I don't have a cab for it cause I like being out in the air, even in the winter. Snow blowing takes about an hour and a half for 800 feet of driveway and turn around. I've used all the implements and I am very pleased with the performance. It makes quick work of all the tasks with a quick 3-point hitch. I’m still getting used to it, but can't say enough good things about it. "
"It has been good except for starting issues when new with the dealer added relay. It was a common problem. The battery terminals get crusty even with dielectric grease. This tractor is a work horse, whether pulling a box blade, rake, snowblower, or working a backhoe. It cleared some land with front-end loader forks and rock grate. It loaded over 40 tons of brush/stumps for a wood resource center and kept the oak trunks and big branches. You won't be disappointed."
"i bought this last year after looking at a bunch of new tractors. It beat the competition with the horsepower per dollar ratio. The front end loader works great and I am happy so far. It is an awesome deal for a small farmer like me. For ten years, I had a Zen Noh 2200 and it was also awesome. "
"This is a very preliminary review, but I will submit another at the various required maintenance levels. The next minor bolt torque is at 10 hours, so it won't be long. First I bought a package deal which included: MAHINDRA 3616 Shuttle 4WD MAHINDRA ML 115 SKC LOADER 18' TRAILER MAHINDRA 6' ROTARY CUTTER STANDARD MAHINDRA 6' BOX BLADE STANDARD DARRELL HARP POST HOLE DIGGER 9" AUGER DARRELL PTO SEEDER/SPREADER The dealer is 45 minutes away and has been selling Mahindras since 1990 and more importantly the mechanic has been there working on Mahindras as long. I don't want to give the price because I don't see anyone else doing that, but I will so that my entire package cost less than any of other brands individual tractors when I matched up all the apples and all the oranges. I went through Mahindra Financing which I also bought the $15 dollar a month insurance for all of the above. I was very worried when looking for a tractor in this price range that I would end up with a glorified lawn mower. This tractor is most definitely a real tractor and what you would expect if you are a first time buyer like me. It is heavy and solid in every regard. I spent the better part of 2 years deciding and researching before buying. I know that most of you seem to be worried about cup holders; it has two large cup holders. The tractor is 36hp with 31hp at the PTO which for my 42 acres is about the minimum I could go with. One of the things I missed in my research was that the FEL comes standard with skidloader quick attach and it was a happy surprise to find it. One of the big questions I tackled was HST or Synchronize Shuttle, go with the shuttle. Believe it or not the shuttle has fewer things to fiddle with and is easier to drive even with the FEL. The whole tractor drives and operates pretty much like a stick model car, but easier; it even has a "gas" pedal should you choose to use it. I haven't seen the need for it yet. The next question was 2wd or 4wd: this one was answered very quickly when I brought the tractor to my home that has about a 300' gravel driveway with 2' ruts running down it. The 4WD is needed and I was very happy to have it once the 6' box blade started cutting into the crush 'n' run and filled up going up a steep grade. So far I haven't gotten the throttle over 1500 RPMs and that was't very long. I started with a full tank of diesel and run hard on my driveway for 3 hours, the tank is still roughly half full. I also used the FEL on my driveway to move bucket loads of earth and crush 'n' run around. It didn't seem to phase anything about the bucket or the hydraulics; I did not feel any resistance or hesitation anywhere. I haven't filled my wheels yet, but it didn't seem to care about that either. I also used the FEL to tear up an old wooden shed and it just beat it up until I just scraped everything into a pile. The only negatives I have come across were: 1. when I went to fill with diesel I accidentally pushed the filter too far with the end and now it is stuck down inside the fill next, but doesn't seem to want to go further or come back out. 2. It took me the better part of 45 minutes to change the rotary cutter out for the box blade. I will be getting a 3pt quick hitch for anything that I can use it with. This is probably more of a problem with my lack of experience with 3pt, but be sure to add one to your list when you are buying. "
"Power/weight ratio nicely done. This thing has been a real workhorse so far and I still don't even have the tires filled yet. FEL operates smoothly, but it took a little while to get used to using a gear drive with FEL. No problems once I got used to it. I found this one used with only 30 hours and a Mahindra dealer is close, so it made my buying choice easy. "
"Well I have been using my Mahindra 3616 for about 15 hours now. Mainly for bush hogging and some FEL work. So far I am impressed and thankful for the tractor. Part of the rear plastic fender broke with ease as I leaned upon it hooking up my 3 pt. hitch. That was a bit of a bummer but what piece of equipment these days doesn't have plastic on it!? I did add 66 gallons each of antifreeze/water to the rear tires and that made a world of difference! So far so good and I would recommend someone purchasing the Mahindra vs. the other competitors. I looked at Kioti, Kubota, and Mahindra before deciding to go with the 3616."
"Hitch stabilizer is too weak and new ones cost too much."
"I was reluctant to buy a Mahindra because I worked at a local tractor dealership and hadn't seen any come through the shop and no one I knew had one. I looked at several different tractors before I looked at the Mahindra. The price for how much tractor you get is well worth it. It still continues to impress me with how much power it has and how much the loader can lift compared to the same size tractors by other makers. I wish it came with a tool box, but that's an easy fix. The only problems I've had with it are all dealer related. They didn't install the hydraulic block for the loader very well, so it leaked. They also installed the hydraulic remotes, which flow enough for my post driver, but they didn't make sure the return line was big enough, so I had to install an extra one to get the return fluid back into the case faster. I like the open design around the seat, you can get on either way."
"I bought my tractor new last year and used it for mowing ~3 acres, and building a motocross track on my 8 acre property. I have used the finish mower, box blade, bush hog, and york rake. I just recently did the first oil change at 50hrs. Make sure when you do the oil change you drain oil from both drain plugs or you will have too much oil in the motor. Also the oil filter is a pain to take off and on. You will need a filter wrench that looks like a huge socket to fit over the filter. If you use the plier type wrench, you will dent the filter putting it back on. The tractor is fantastic and will go anywhere and do anything. I have no liquid in the tires or wheel weights and have not had a problem going anywhere. The tractor is extremely well built and very heavy duty. Absolutely sips fuel. I would buy another one in a heart beat. The only thing I would do different would be to get the HST version as working with the bucket on finish grading is kind of hard while using the clutch."
"I bought this tractor back in October and have never looked back. I first bushogged with it on my 7 or so acres and at the time the grass was about 4 ft tall. I have a rhino 5 ft bushhog and it just mowed it down and the tractor never even bogged down, not one time. I have also cut an oak tree up with it and I could use the front end loader, hook it with a chain around the end of a main branch, cut the main branch at the tree and the tractor would pull that no problem. the FEL and four wheel drive comes in real handy and all of the dirt work I have done so far has gone well. The seat belts will hang down into the controls and running gear area if you don't watch them. also, when you extend the rops bar all the way down to its lowest setting, you can actually raise your attachments up and contact the rops bar, so you have to be mindful of this at times. Other than that, this tractor to me has been well worth the money, lots of motor in this thing, easy to shift and all controls are easily within reach. all around great tractor and if I had to do it all over again. I would buy this same tractor again."
