"It leaks about 1 quart every 8-10 hours. It has lost 5 quarts so far. The boom cylinder hose pinched and had to replace due to poor routing and lack of a mounting tab."

Pros: Starts easy, good power Cons: Engine leaks oil excessively, poor hose routing Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA GA I also considered buying: Kubota B3200, Branson 3120R

"It beat the tier 3 emissions! The 3016 is my 2nd Mahindra. Although neither are perfect, they are a heck of a value for the cost. The 3016 is a terrific combination of size, power and features for the money. It has a real Mitsubishi engine, not a Mitsubishi approved knockoff engine like some others. It is great on fuel and starts at zero in an unheated 3-sided shed with one cycle of the glow plugs! The loader has plenty of breakout and lifting power. I use a 3-point mounted 600-pound weight for counterbalance and I can dig holes in undisturbed dirt. It mows 3.5 hard to mow (trees, pond, hills creek )acres with a 5-foot MTD mower in less than 3 hours on about 2.5 gallons of fuel."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Value, features, power, economy Cons: Seat not the best, plastic fender extensions (to meet some US requirement) Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 Acres Location: USA OH I also considered buying: Kioti Ck30S HST, LS Tractor G3033H

"I bought this tractor after looking at many different brands and models. After having it for a few months, I am very happy with it, and my decision. My tractor comes equipped with a loader that I use every day. For the size it's really strong, and can do a lot of things i would never had thought of. My only complaint is the plastic by the low/medium/high shifter. In the winter, my cold weather bibs would sometimes catch on it, and it cracked the plastic. Mahindra replaced it no questions asked, but i would have liked to see a beefed up plastic, or maybe backed with steel. But that's it so far. The tractor is fantastic and it's great on fuel. Because I rarely need to go over 1,500 rpm, I really don't go through a lot of fuel. "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Heavy duty, strong motor, great on fuel Cons: Some of the plastic could be heavier duty Type of User: Homeowner 100+ Acres Location: USA WI I also considered buying:

"I don't do any field work so I don't need a big tractor and the barn has 8 foot spacing on the support pillars so I need a smaller tractor to maneuver with barn cleaning. The Mahindra does the jobs I need done. It is a little under-powered and bogs down sometimes. The 4WD is very handy in mud and snow we have here in Wisconsin. It handles the round bales okay, but could use a little more ground clearance on the 3pt. Very hard starting in below zero weather. Needs a block heater. All-in-all, I am happy with it and would recommend it for the jobs I do with it."

Pros: Small, versatile, good performance. Cons: Cold weather starting, Type of User: Homeowner 50-100 Acres Location: USA WI I also considered buying:

"I got to say that in the last couple months my life has had a huge change. I have 57 acres of mountain land just north of Antlers Oklahoma. This land needs to be shaped and molded to meet my expectations and at 60 years of age, my body has problems just working up good old fart. Hips need replacement (one to go) and just overall my get up and go got up and went. My now my life has been renewed with a new vitality that I that I thought was lost a few years ago. I had to give up motorcycles because I could swing my leg over one. I have wanted to purchase a backhoe for years but it just wasn't in the cards. I started my search for the right unit. I needed to get the right tractor for the right price from the right folks and I hit a bulls eye. Blue River Tractors in Durant Oklahoma proved to be just what I was looking for. I had no prior knowledge of tractors, backhoes, loaders 3 point hitches PTO's mid and rear but know by George I think I have got it. The Mahindra 3016 is great for my needs. I do not pull a brush hog so this unit's PTO hp is not an issue and for those of you who have never pulled a brush hog man they need hp big time. If you need more PTO hp you should used a 3616 . I did in rocks with a strange approach: I run rpms down low 1500 and pick at the rock formations instead of trying to power through them. I dig all around the big ones till I can unearth them. With a 20 inch bucket I think it works well digging around them and picking you can never have enough power to power through it's just too rough. Anyone can did in soil but rocks take a special technique low rpms low fuel consumption easy on the tractor. 20 gallons of fuel in 30 hrs of operation. Thus far I have put up 6 sections of galvanized chain link 18 ft long dug a 2 1/2 deep ditch across the main road loaded a new stove onto my four foot tall deck going into my home pulled around an ATV that died. I had no one else to drive ATV so I pulled it where i wanted it not where it wanted to go. I pushed tons of rock to new locations to clean up areas. I lifted an old doge van with flat tires to it's new home. i pushed over trees and used the thumb YES THE THUMB A NEAT device that allows me to single out individual rocks and place them exactly where I want them man this things works well. The backhoe has it's own seat in cast you have a hoe that wants to ride shotgun. I want you to know I could sleep for a month before I ordered this tractor and now I understand why I am in tractor heaven this has been great for all I need it too do. Now i can't sleep at night because i can't wait to get on this babe and go out in life and take on the new challenges. If you ask me now a days, the golden question, "can you dig it ?" The answer is, "You bet! Now I can thanks to Mahindra 3016.""

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Red, fuel efficient, nice seat, easy to get in saddle. Cons: No a.c. Type of User: Location: USA TX I also considered buying: Mahindra 2815 HST

"This is my first tractor. I bought this 3016 HST Tractor w/ FEL new. I use it for over a year now to perform general maintenance around my property. I like the features that Mahindra put into this machine. The FEL is very easy to remove. The skid steer bucket can be dropped in seconds. I don't like the low HP rating of the motor (not a really big deal). I don't like the placement of the forward and reverse pedals on the platform. They seem too close to me. I guess I'd rather have them placed side by side. The seat belt is not supported so it will stay up near the seat when hot in use. And the cup holder in the fender is useless. It will not hold anything except leaves. That looks like lots of bad things, but it's all small stuff that can be easily worked around. I'm pleased with it as long as the motor and trans holds together."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Good features for the money. Cons: Lowest HP in class. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA MI I also considered buying: Massey Ferguson 1635, New Holland Boomer 3040

"This is my third tractor, priors were Ford New Hollands, a 5510 and a 3930. After months of research and shopping I finally ordered amy 3016 Shuttle with FEL and 6 way blade from Ernies Imports of Molala Oregon. The purchase and pickup of the new tractor were great. Ernie is a great dealer. Offered a great product at a great price. The unit was ready for pickup and Ernie did a commendable job with the operator indoctrination. The tractor is amazing, and has done everything I needed so far. My only regret is that I did not opt for a tiller and down force rear hydr. but will add those this year. "

"This is my first new tractor. I have worked for tractor dealers almost all of my life (32 yrs). I have sold & serviced every brand you can think of. I needed a tractor for yard / tree duties. I cut & burn fire wood. I cannot believe the task this tractor will perform. I can lift logs whole (ML115 loader) & cut grass waist high without changes in rpm or loading the engine. My neighbor owns a Kubota (that I sold him new) & it won't pull the logs my Mahindra will. I'm glad he didn't smart off much when I got it cause I have a chain. So smooth. Weighs just under 2 tons."

"I don't have a big farm 5 acres total, about 1 acre that I brush-hog rest is Woods so the main use is pushing up brush moving dirt and keeping the woods clean. but so far I really been happy with what this little tractor will do. Only thing I've found bad on it was the coolant drain valve it's made of cheap plastic and mounted on side up front, one limb and it will break or crack. and will drain all coolant in a matter of minutes. I replaced mine after breaking with a hose splicer one hose is 1/4 and the other hose is 3/8 I.D.s other than that, it's been a great little Tractor"

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Price and value. Cons: Only con so far is the drain valve for coolant. very cheap and in a very bad location. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA TX I also considered buying: Kubota B2320
