"No major problems. I did replace a wheel seal in the right front wheel. The other problem was with the shuttle shifting into reverse. The cable adjustment at the transmission was okay and the problem was at the shuttle end of the cable. The hole where the stud fit was worn egg shape, and had about .100" slop. This part of the cable is made of soft metal. I cut some flat sheet metal pieces to fill in the wear until the slop was gone, and the shuttle shifts okay now. Beats spending $160.00 for a new cable plus the trouble replacing the old one. I also added a 2 spool remote hydraulic control valve so I could add a stump grinder."

"Good little tractor as long as I don't use it for a bull dozer. All the issues I have had other than electrical has been from using it like a bull dozer. Mainly trying to knock down trees."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Great for mowing and plowing small garden and scraping drive way. Cons: Does not push trees very well (LOL). Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA NC I also considered buying:

Bad Luck?

"I have had real good luck from this tractor for 9 years and the purchase price was great. This year I was brush hogging and the crankshaft cracked on me. Nothing too big as I have a 5ft brush hog and wasn't mowing very tall grass. It costs me $6,100.00 and the crankshaft was about 2K of the total cost and the replacement parts are only warranted for 30 days. With only 700 hours on the tractor, new rods, rings or piston's were not needed. I guess you could say just bad luck and still don't know what could have caused it. The mechanic couldn't tell either. There are several theories of course but nothing concrete. Other than this "bad luck" "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Power for the size, great for brush hogging, front end loader is a real back saver. Cons: Could use more hydraulics on the rear for tilt on box blade. Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 Acres Location: USA OK I also considered buying:

Mahindra 2810 Gear, Newer Version

"This is the newer sheet metal version. We have 4 acres, and use a 6 foot Buhler Farm King, 56-in tiller, scrape blade, middle buster, Pittsburgh type tiller and FEL. We have turf type tires on it, which do struggle some when working in the garden (60ft x 250ft) depending on the implement being used. Having 4wd and a locking rear diff prevents any stuck situations though. FEL is definitely strong enough to lift the back end off the ground if you aren't careful. It is a fairly simple 5 min. job to remove/install the FEL. The gear version is 4-spd. with L,M,H, effectively making it a 12spd (both forward and reverse). Paint has somewhat faded, but it is 10 years old. Everything works perfectly on it. I have just started to see a drip of some hydraulic oil from one of the lift arms. The tail lights are housed in a plastic housing that is prone to cracking because you pretty much have to lean against them when putting on or taking off implements. Overall has plenty of power (28hp at crank, 24 @ PTO). The PTO can be operated either in gear, out of gear, and with the clutch depressed). We have been very pleased with its performance and even my wife is not terrified to operate it. Weighs about 3300lbs in operating condition so it has great weight for handling the FEL and loads on the back."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Simple controls, plenty of power, 4WD. Cons: Cheaper plastic around lights. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA NC I also considered buying:

"Quality, performance, and reliability could not have been better. There were a couple "bells and whistles" not included on the Mahindra that are included in the "Big 3", but I prefer a more open and spacious deck with out the clutter. Best value by far on the market at the time of my purchase."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Power, comfort, speed, openess of deck and engine compartment. Cons: Not easy to connect and disconnect a belly mower. Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 Acres Location: USA PA I also considered buying:

"Handy compact tractor for light duty applications. I have the backhoe attachment as well. My neighbor has a little smaller Kubota and it outperforms mine. Wish now I would have went with the Kubota or moved up to a New Holland or John Deere, But for the money it is worth what I paid for it and it has saved me lots of time."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Affordable. Cons: Seems weak for the HP. Type of User: Homeowner 50-100 Acres Location: USA NY I also considered buying: New Holland 1725

"Overall the tractor is a workhorse for its size. Use a 5' cutter to mow about 10 acres and have used the front-end loader extensively. Mechanically the tractor is top-notch. The electrical system, including the battery location and accessibility and a pain."

Mahindra 2810 "The Little Tractor That Can!"

"My wife and I own a 2004 Mahindra Compact Tractor 2810W 4X4 with a ML108 F.E.L. I also have a Flail Mower and a 4 ' bush hog. Now I am looking for a rolling cultivator for our garden. My wife and I really love this little tractor. She actually uses it more than I do, but she will come get me when she is stuck or hung up on something. We believe it the best for the money. It is like the little train that could. No matter what we throw at it, if you keep picking away it will complete the task. More power and torque than a tractor this size needs. No matter what you are pulling, pushing or dragging or bush hogging. If you will gear it down, something has got to give or break. It will turn the wheels and you only need to throttle it up if you want to go faster. It is a 3 cylinder diesel and it sips fuel. We can run it all day on 3 gallons or so. I would recommend one of these to anyone looking for an inexpensive tractor. It is being used to clear 4 acres of swampy area beside our house. It is used everyday and we have worked it "real hard" everyday since we had it. This is not a bulldozer - it has small tires and will spin easily, but so far this is it's only limitations. As stated above it is the little tractor that could. So keep picking at it. Sorry about all the talk, but this little tractor deserves it. Thanks, Dink"

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Plenty of power; it will turn on a dime. It steers better than my car - effortless. Cons: I have no complaints except I would like to have the HST instead of the gear drive. but you get used to it. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA NC I also considered buying: John Deere 1010

"The 2810 HST is a branded version of the TYM T330, difference being the TYM has a Kubota engine and the Mahindra has a Daedong. Build quality is good. It's a heavy machine for it's class. Depending on the tasks it can seem a tad underpowered, but always has enough to spin all four if you let it work at it's pace. No significant mechanical systems problems yet. 2 reasons for the 4 rating: front axle bolts backed out due to no locking tabs installed, luckily caught with no damage, and the powdercoat finish on the platform under the mat is terrible. Expect to spend a few hours with prep and paint else the platform may disintegrate under your feet someday. Features are good, has most things a CUT needs. All functions of the drive train and hydraulics work as they should. 3 pt is adequate for implements the tractor can handle. Lift and curl capacity for the KMW Mahindra branded ML108H FEL is nothing to get excited about, should have used 2" cylinders instead of 1.5". Reasons for 4 rating is that and the tractor does not have draft control. Performance is more than adequate, however honestly 5 more HP would have been a welcome addition. Value is excellent. Some other brands were many thousands more for a comparable piece. If I traded every couple of years the paint color would certainly be more of a consideration, but I'm more concerned with cost/benefit than a hypothetical trade that may happen someday. Reliability has been excellent. Repairs have consisted of 3 pullback springs and 4 new bolts. My dealer is a class act. Both times I needed his assistance he went the extra mile to see I was satisfied. "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Solid, heavy, well built, very economical, very easy to operate all day. Cons: Could use a few more horses, no draft control. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA NC I also considered buying:
