"The only reason I did not give 5 stars was that nothing is that good. The only pricey problem I have had was to get a burr on the rim fixed that caused air to leak. Other than that, my 5530 has been a workhorse ever since I have owned it. We work 75 acres of hay and bush hog on occasion. I cannot tell you the number of times I have had to pull my brother-in-laws New Holland out of the mud. I traded my John Deere in for this have never been happier. Beware of dealers for service, it's practically nonexistent and overpriced when they do service. The parts are almost never in stock. Want service to the farm? Forget it."
"Let me warn you, these tractors are junk. They vibrate apart the 4-by-4. It was used for 1 hour and blew the seal out and leaked hydraulic fluid everywhere. The wiring is steadily going out. All the adjustments for the brakes ,clutch, and everything else come loose. It has cheap and low quality steel, and the paint fades. These things are junk. I had a 5103 John Deere in 2006. I bought it new and never had an issue. I got it cheap, so I sold it to get a 4-by-4 and got this tractor I will never do that again. Spend the money and buy John Deere. I am telling you the truth. These tractors are junk! The service sucks also."
"Pushing mine to the MAX. Clearing woods with mulcher on back. Great in the mud once we got the linkage adjusted right for the 4WD. But to many open exposed hoses, open areas underneath for the stuff i'm going through. all in all it will be A good tractor when the ranch is cleared of a 1,000 pines"
"Tractor is great. Shifting from forward to reverse a little hard. Great value tractor for the money. I grew up with John Deere products. This tractor isn't green but either was the price!"
"Only problem I had was a diesel fuel line leak dealer repaired with no problem."
"Nice tractor at great price, plenty of power, dealer not responsive or timely to get parts."
"Use for 30 acres. 5 acre truck patch garden and so forth. Got package deal. 16ft. trailer, front loader, heavy duty disk all f/$26k. Paid cash and dealer delivered f/Dennim Springs to Opelousas with no extra charge. Love this monster. jk"
"Just bought a Mahindra 5530 to use on a 32 acre plot of land we own. Machine had 15 hours from use by the dealer. Tractor seems very capable, will be installing remotes on it in near future. "
"Ive used this tractor for moving railroad ties, planting fields, road construction, and clearing woods. I haven't had any problems so far. Its done everything I've asked of it. Mine has the shuttle shift and that is just great. I used to have a gear but, with the loader, the shuttle shift is the way to go. I also like the fact that it sits up high when going through thick brush that came in handy when i was bushhogging around my pond and stirred up a nest of snakes. Its an all around good tractor heavy and sturdy with a lot of power. "
"Purchased the Mahindra 5530 Turbo to maintain 21 acres of bamboo, trees, and grass. I also purchased a Woods shredder. So far, I am very happy with the purchase. It is getting smoother and feels like it is ready to run for many years to come. In addition to cutting my farm, I also cut other neighbor's small lots because this tractor is fun to drive. The Woods shredder was an excellent addition. It really makes the grass look like it was cut with a finish mower. The dealer "wants to do more", but sometimes that means he over promises and under delivers. If you push, you can usually get what he promised. Perhaps as he grows, he will learn to under promise and over deliver. "
