"55hp with loader bucket -
I have done a lot of abusive work with it. I had lift cylinder problems. The rods were a little wimpy. All of the manufacturers buy the loaders and add on. I bought after market hyd cylinders at under 200 each versus 600 dealer price, and reversed barrel end down. I had to adapt but it was far better, after 47 years in a caterpillar service department, it was no problem."
REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Pros: Strong and heavy enough for 55 horse power, old international engineeringCons: Wish I had 4-wheel driveType of User: Homeowner 10-50 AcresLocation: USA GAI also considered buying: REVIEWER'S PHOTOS

"Purchased this as farming tractor as companion to a 3510 owned when farm was purchased.
Plenty of HP and capacity for intended use.
Use to heavy disk, 1.5 YD Dirt Pan, spray and 5' No-Till Planter.
Platform busy and cramped compared to 3510 but will do the job that it would not.

"I have used lawn and garden tractors as well as an old Ford 3000 up until now and I am very impressed with the power, traction and ease of use of this machine. The 265 bucket is very stout and does more than I need. The tractor is well engineered and heavily built. I am very pleased."

"I bought it used, had a few problems, but I got them worked out, it need some TLC previous own didn't know much about tractors. I have a New Holland TN-65 also, but the 5500 is so much more powerful , fuel efficient, steers better, I just love this tractor, rolled 250 rolls with it last fall, cut 35 acres on the last with it pulled a Kuhn GMD 600 disc mower, M & W 4500 hay roller. "When I bought my 5500, it was the best tractor for the money after comparing similar tractors in the other major brands, such as, JD, NH, Kubota, Case IH."
REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Pros: Strong, heavy, built, and it has done everything I've asked to do.Cons: Fuel gauge could be more reliable.Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 AcresLocation: USA GAI also considered buying: REVIEWER'S PHOTOS

"I have 2 Mahindras and they have both gone beyond the call of duty. The 5500 has been used hard for new land clearing and general farm use as have. The 3325 I own, we do everything from planting to grinding with and both tractors get used almost daily."
REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Pros: Awesome quality for a fair price.Cons: The 00 models platform is a little tight.Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 AcresLocation: USA GAI also considered buying: REVIEWER'S PHOTOS

"This is a very well built tractor, I have had it a year now, with no real problems. It has plenty of power to do all the jobs I need to do. The draw works are bigger than John Deere and Kubota in that class. It has a front end loader bucket with a pallet forks. All around great tractor."
