"This tractor does everything. It disc fields, brush hogs, finish mowing, moves snow, seeds with a 10-foot grain drill and a 4 row corn planter. It has never gotten stuck. I had one issue with it and the dealer took care of it. The units have a five year warranty."
"I bought this in 2012. After the second year, the frame cracked in half. Several farmer friends told me that it looked like a weak frame. The company has repaired it and made it stronger. In the third year now, the 3-point hitch stabilizer bar came off. This tractor is very strong but it is on a very weak welded frame. I asked to trade it up for a stronger and heavier model, but they will only give me $8,000 for my three year old tractor that has been used to till & cut the grass while the loader was used to move poop to compost faster. I paid 16,900 for it and three years later it is half the value. The engine is great the value is great, but just be careful and buy one that is twice what you need. "
"I've had my R3039 for one full season now. I've done practically all necessary tasks from pushing snow in February, through all the tillage work of spring, and mowing and cultivating through summer. I've run a 7' back blade, 5' tiller, 5' brush hog, 5'box blade, a double 14" bottom plow, 5' offset disk, and plenty of loader work both with the bucket and with pallet forks. The tractor has plenty of power to handle all of these with some to spare. The quick attach design of the loader makes removing and remounting it very simple once you've done it a couple of times. This tractor has done everything I've wanted it to and more. Easy starting, even in 0 degree weather, quiet, smooth running, and very good with fuel consumption. The 12 speed syncro transmission has a great range from the low speed needed to operate the tiller to a high road speed for transport. It shifts easily, and the direction reverser makes loader work a breeze. The controls are right where you need them, from the direction reverser, loader joystick control, 3 point and 4WD levers and differential lock. Easy to get accustomed to and after a full days work with it, won't wear you down. After a long time of researching and pricing the other brands, the LS came in almost $5k less than the nearest competition with all the options including rear work light, remotes, grill guard, ag tires, and others. The only two things I've noticed is that the kickstand arms for the loader when unmounted are a bit weak. They will bend if the loader isn't on even pavement. The other is minor as the support for the fuel tank has developed a minor vibration noise when running at PTO engine speed. (Cured by a small folded piece of paper wedged between)Otherwise, I can't complain whatsoever about this machine. "
"I have had a lot of tractors from 27 to 85 hp. This is my favorite so far I traded In a mahindra and after using this one I sold my kubota as well. The front end loader is really strong a put on a 60" bucket root rake grapple and it handles it great. I hooked the grapple to one of the remote hydraulics and it works great. I pull a 5' bush hog 6' finish mower and a 5' double row disc, all with no problem. I also have a pallet fork and hay Speer attachment as well as the 5.5 bucket that came with it. This is the best purchase I made in a while. The 3039 was worth the money over the 3038."
"Great piece of equipment for the price. Has done everything I need it to do. Very stable during hillside use. Have used 5 ft. bush hog, 5 ft. box blade, 6 ft. grader blade as attachment to date and tractor handled all smoothly. Only issue has been the sway bar adjustments on the three point hitch broke on two occasions. Could have been my setup to tight or use too rough? Overall am extremely satisfied!"
"I had looked at the major brands: Kubota, Case, New Holland and of course John Deere, before I discovered LS when an internet search landed me on the RCOTractor website. I compared the specs with all the others line for line, and was surprised to see that the LS was slightly superior in most categories and greatly superior in a few that really mattered for identical physical size and horsepower. I was concerned about moving logs with the loader—24 inch 8 foot red oak at 1800-2200 lbs. LS has the only tractor/loader combination in the 35-40 hp < 3000 lb. range that will meet this requirement. Otherwise, I would have had to buy tractor too large to maneuver around my property. I was still a bit skeptical when I first shoved a pallet fork under the largest of these logs, but the R3039 didn’t even groan, and carried it half a mile up the road in 11th gear with not the slightest complaint. Over fifteen months I have used it with brush hog, box blade, loader, pallet fork and log splitter, and I am literally amazed every time I try something new. The R3039 maneuvers more tightly than any tractor I have driven, and without tearing up the sod or driveway. It fits in places I never thought I could take a full sized compact. The joystick loader control is very smooth and sensitive, allowing me to place pallet forks precisely in the slots under a pallet on a semi-trailer and to move breakable objects without a worry. I chose the 12 speed shuttle shift over the hydro-stat, and I am very pleased. I get slow enough speeds to stand up and see exactly where the pallet forks are going, and I get faster speeds than I really need to cruise down a paved road with a trailer or implement. The ranges are perfect. With all-synchro shifting and synchro shuttle reverser, I can maneuver it with all the ease and fluidity of a hydro-stat while retaining all the benefits of a clutch and gears. The controls are all in exactly the right places and function effortlessly. The dual mode PTO switch gives me exactly what I want, whether I need the implement to stop with the tractor or keep running. Quick-attach is great, and removing the loader is so easy that I never keep it on when mowing. Fit and finish are of the highest quality… so much so that I am actually motivated to wax it. Finally, the premium features on the R3039 compared to the G3033 are absolutely worth the difference in price. The seat is awesome, the full synchro transmission is a dream, the remote hydraulics are just what I needed, and I would not want to live without the telescoping lift arms and supports. Even the floor mat now seems like something I would really miss if it weren’t there. Best of all—I admit it—is the sound of that Mitsubishi four-cylinder firing up almost before the starter has turned over. After using the R3039 for a few months, I stopped by another major brand dealership again just out of curiosity, having a better basis for comparison, and I felt like I was sitting on a machine of significantly lower quality and less convenient features. I could hardly believe that the R3039 package had actually cost me several thousand dollars less. As pleased as I am with the machine, I am equally impressed with the service. RCO has gone above and beyond the norm to insure that I understood every aspect of the tractor and to ensure that it is running up to their exacting standards. RCO’s history gives me the confidence that my dealer will still be around in 5 years should I manage to break something."
"I use it for garden work and road work (about 1 mile). It's surprising how many other things it can be used for. I found it great for retrieving large logs for the stove. It pulls my splitter to where the trees are instead of messing up the yard. There are a lot of others."
"Everything works great on it, except for the loader carrage, snapped 5 bolts using it to move manure."
"This "thang" is strong---love it. Easy to operate (wife likes that part). Neighbors see it in yard stopped and looked sayin' to be a tractor, it sure is pretty. I love it. worked loader this morning bushogged this afternoon of corse had to give it a bath---my baby."
"It seems almost cheesy to give something 5 stars, but initially at least, I cannot seem to find anything to complain about. I am really glad that I opted for the R series over the G-series. The added features are well worth the small price increase. I am happy with the power and abilities of this machine. I think that this tractor presents a real value for the money. It seems to be well constructed, the engine runs smooth and quiet, the loader is strong for a compact, and the suspension seat takes the bumps out of the ride. "
