"I am going to find enough people for class action. This tractor over heated and now the block cracked. I took it in 3 times a year for over heating, now the dealership has said there is no slip for over heating. I believe that this is a cover up from the top. I cleaned the screen in front of radiator every hour and it still overheated. This is a poor design."

"It has a poorly designed cooling system. When the alarm sounds, it has already damaged the engine to the tune of $ 3000.00. The dealers know there is an issue and have there "it was your fault" speech down pat. They say you should clean the radiator after each use. I owned a John Deere for 10 years and never cleaned the radiator."

"I agonized over buying this mower due mainly to the cost but I have not regretted it a minute. It flies through thick grass while giving a manicured cut. I've run 4 different types of mowers over the same yard and the Kubota beats the others hands down. My mowing time has been cut in 1/2 and the quality is amazing. Another selling point for me was the deck jack feature. This is a time saver and a great deal safer than other methods I've used over the years."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Ease in routine maintenance. Cons: Changing fuel filters. This is a pain due to location. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA TX I also considered buying: Ariens Zoom XL 54

"I mow 3 acres weekly starting in April until mid July when the heat slows the growth and then bi-weekly after that. I recommend that the mulching addition be purchased also. It will pulverize tree leaves into dust. No raking you will replace the blades before the next spring as the mulching process is hard on the blades if you have numerous trees. The mower has operated flawlessly as I expected for a Kubota product. Fuel consumption is very low with the diesel engine."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Comfortable to operate for hours at at time. The hydraulic deck lift is a pleasure. Cons: Dealer I purchased it from is not well versed in customer service. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA GA I also considered buying: Gravely 5660

"Purchased this for my wife and she has really enjoyed it for the last 5 years. I have found that if there are tall weeds, you have to go over them twice to get the really tall ones, otherwise they fold over and do not get cut off, that is why I gave it a 4. Due to our many many hills, we had to upgrade to ATV tires as the machine is really heavy and tends to slide down the hills sideways, but some really grippy tires stopped that, now the problem is digging trenches when you turn if you are not careful. Others have complained about the fuel gauge system, but my wife has ran for over 4 hours on 1 tank, by then you need a bathroom break anyway, check the fuel while you're stopped."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Speed, power, reliability. Cons: Cut quality in rough areas. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA KY I also considered buying:

"We bought this for my wife's new landscape maintenance business. We haven't put a lot of hours on it yet, but of course it has all the usual expected Kubota attention to detail and robust construction. We looked hard at the Exmark ZTR before buying the Kubota. In the end I liked the hydraulic deck lift and knob adjustment for cutting height. It's really simple to raise and lower the deck and changing the cutting height is a 3 second operation. Mower has tons of power with the diesel and is very frugal with fuel. We installed the mulch kit and striping option. Cut quality on wet tall grass is not great but that's due to the mulching baffles/blades rather than the mower. It has tremendous power so on soft wet soil you have to be very careful not to dig up the ground with turning or starting on hills. The operator station is outstanding, with multiple adjustments for the seat and a very cushy ride. My only complaint is the blade attachment system seems overly complex compared to other mowers and as a result you need 3 hands to put them back on after sharpening. Since I do that a lot I'm not looking forward to it. "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Power, speed, comfort, hydraulic deck lift, & cut quality. Cons: The price and the blade changing is awkward. Type of User: Commercial Landscape Location: USA WA I also considered buying: Exmark Next Lazer Z Advantage
