"I've been very happy with my 4610. I have used it for clearing land, moving dirt, mowing pastures, moving hay and maintaining the driveways. I was really surprised at the size of trees I can push down with this tractor!"

"Larger would not fit in my barn and stack work in cramped spaces. Smaller would not be able to reach high enough to stack hay 3 rows high. Handles super HD brush hog 6 ft wide. Handles 6 ft super HD box blade with hydraulic scarifiers. Easily handles a round bale on both front and back at same time. My wife's comment: Best tool we ever bought. She insisted it have a cab to keep me safe when spraying chemicals. Cab keeps me warm in winter (has heater) and cool in summer (has A/C)Excellent visibility."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Lots of hydraulic power, good HST gearing, great cab, reliable, economical. Cons: Repairs are expensive if/when needed. Type of User: Homeowner 100+ Acres Location: USA OK I also considered buying:

"Live change included purchase of 10 acres and a chance to remodel an existing house. Found my tractor from a retiring builder less than 200 miles away. Good maintenance on the tractor with box spreader and bucket, and I bought his used mower as well. Tractor performs like a dream. I love the hydrostatic. Easy for me to check oil, dust screen, grease, yet a wee bit difficult for me to hoist a 5 gallon diesel can up to add fuel, but I manage. I use my tractor to mow my fields, dig holes for landscaping (post hole attachment), move dirt, and lots more. I couldn't be without my tractor!"

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Moves dirt quickly, loads materials easily, powerful, and reliable. Cons: Difficult to change filters. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA CA I also considered buying:

"I had a L2350 and myself and family members have used it for various things on a 12 acre property. Recently purchased a 100 acre, so I doubled up with a 46HP with the LA764 loader. So far, I haven't seen ANYTHING it can't do. I do wish it were heavier and I'm going to be adding water and weights later. As well as you'd think for a $5,000 FEL, it would come with a visual leveler. I guess I'll be adding that here shortly."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Power, smart engineering, quality build, ORANGE, easy to work on (from initial look over). Cons: A little lighter than I'd expected, no visual leveler on the FEL. Type of User: Homeowner 50-100 Acres Location: USA GA I also considered buying: New Holland Boomer 4055

"I have been very pleased with my L4610 since the day I purchased it. It has served me very well, at home and own the job front. I used it during Hurricane Katrina, and made money with it for 7 months afterward. I moved up from a smaller B-series, and always have enjoyed mine!"

"L4610 with factory cab; HST model. Upgraded from a L2550 w/o cab. Purchased new; I use this year-round for just about everything from field work (haying, brush hogging) to garden (plow, till, manure spreader), landscaping and site work, snow removal, and logging. Too big for finish mowing unless you own a golf course. It's a dream for 'gentleman farming', a little light for some field work but just about right for almost everything else I do. A 6-7' brush hog is no problem but this can't pull a baler and wagon safely--too light and a little under powered. No maintenance problems and relatively easy to service with a svc manual (I have done all maintenance myself). Parts/filters/fluids are expensive from the dealer and no good generic parts or non-dealer distribution. The factory cab is great--heat and A/C work fine even under extreme conditions, from below zero (F) to over 100F; so far no probs. The HST is great for loader work but not ideal for field work; too much loss of PTO power. Dont buy a cab if you are planning to log or be in the woods. . .unless you dont mind broken glass. . .our property is slopey and this tractor is stable up to about 30 degrees with the wheels adjusted to full width. I use ag tires due to all the field and woods work; stay off the lawn though. Chains are not necessary for routine snow removal but useful in the woods if you are winter-logging. The main problems with this tractor: fuel tank too small for field work; cooling system clogs easily in field conditions (mostly due to triple stack of radiator, oil cooler and A/C exchanger) works Ok in clean air, but very bad design for e.g. brushhogging where you will be overheated in 20-30 mins if it's seedy and chaffy--need to brush/blow out the screens every 20 mins or less. I have had a few quirky electrical things come up but no major mechanical or hydro issues; I am religious about routine maint, tho and it is kept inside. Wicked expensive at the front end but it has probably lost very little value in the almost 10 years I've had it. I have worked this tractor very hard and cant imagine a better all around tractor for the range of things I am doing. This would hold up fine under commercial or full time farm use. Highly recommended other than the high cost. "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Sturdy, ideal size for 50-100A multipurpose, reliable, great HST, Love the cab. Cons: $$$$ to buy, parts expensive; small fuel tank, poor cooling design for field work. Type of User: Homeowner 50-100 Acres Location: USA VT I also considered buying:

"Hydro with strong front loader. This is a great tractor for someone that plays at farming/landscaping, etc. I have 40 acres, rent out 20, landscape 10 and 10 acres of woods. This will easily turn a 6 foot Woods Tiller, works well with a 6 foot Woods Snow Thrower, and is narrow enough to move through the woods without scarring trees. Always starts, good on fuel, never had a problem with it but then it only has 800 hours. "
