"I bought a 15 acre property in Eastern Massachusetts and developed it into a horse property: barn, riding ring, paddocks, pasture, etc. The Kubota L3600 GST has been an integral part of my life for 15 years. I bought it in '99 as a dealer demo from Chappel Tractor in Milford NH. Great dealer and great deal both. This tractor works steadily but only maintaining this property. I use the following implements: 1572 FDR Land Pride grooming deck, 1572 Land Price landscape plow, LA 680 Loader, 12" posthole auger, 72" brush hog, 72" York rake, LandPride 700# conical broadcast spreader, Bucket forks, tine harrrow, etc. The LA680 loader has proven to be a great loader and I like its power. I have been very faithful to follow the service interval requirements for the GST (Super UDT fluid and filters every 400 hours after 50 hr first change) as that was an area that the service department cautioned is often not done and causes premature failure of the driveline components. I've got nothing but like new performance after 15 years and 1500 hrs. The front drive axle design has one "issue" that requires careful attention; the pivot point on the axle is facing upwards with a cuplike design so you have to clear sand and dirt from that to avoid premature ware of the seal. This seal is a common failure point. Mine is weeping only VERY slightly after 15 years and not to the point I want to replace it yet, but be aware if you don't blow that knuckle out with a leaf blower regularly, it will collect debris. I couldn't be any happier with this tractor and it has retained virtually all of its power in the engine, driveline, and hydraulics as well as the LA680 loader bucket. It runs at least one to two days a week doing something and I use it load/unload manure, loam, and materials regularly. On a 1-10 scale I give this tractor a 9.5 overall for longevity, performance, and reliability."
"Used tractor low hrs. Seems to be a fine piece. It has loader and Woods 9000 backhoe. I have only used it a few hours."
"Bought mine used with 200 hours. Dependable; easy to work on."
"I bought this 39 hp tractor used with 870 hrs. It has a cab with heating & a/c which makes it a handy tool when the cold, white stuff arrives! The neighbors sure think so when they borrow it! It came with a 6' rear mower, 72" back blade, & a front mounted snow blower. The only problem I had with it is the glow plug controller went out. It was an easy fix. Other than that, I'm really happy with the machine!"
"Date purchased is close I think, but not 100% I am getting a new Kubota, my old L3600 is in decent shape, but I want to get a new one while the L3600 still has some value. We've had it for probably around 15 years, and I don't know many other people that would abuse a tractor as bad as we do. It's done us good, the Glide Shift Transmission is so sweet; that's my favorite thing about it. We do a lot of mowing/tree work, and often we use the tractor with the flail mower as a chipper for brush. This is the main problems we have had, which might be a little our fault, but have had several issues with debris breaking things in the engine compartment, i.e. radiators. Also, the radiator gets completely clogged up regularly when mowing, but I've heard on the new models, that they do much better, and that the engine housing keeps quite a bit out. What I'm doing different this time: -More power, going with the M7040, but the L Series is probably plenty of power for most. I am going to miss the Glide Shift. It doesn't come on the M Series. -Getting industrial tires instead of ag tires. I'm going to do some sort of quick attach thing for the three point. -Skid Steer attach for the front loader -Skid Plate Style to stop debris damage (probably home made) Anyway, I'm probably forgetting something, but all in all, I love Kubota!"
"Use on almost a daily basis all year long. With a bucket, bale fork, york rake, 3ph auger, bush hog, etc. not much I can't do with her."
"I bought this tractor second hand with really no hours on it, so the dealer experience does not count. This is the first tractor i have bought and am so glad i found this one. It has been excellent in every way, in the ratings they should have fuel economy as well because its a five, it runs so long on a tank of diesel its great. This Kubota, I feel does the work of a full size in a mid size frame. The only draw back is I wish I found the same tractor but with the HST tranny, but that is my hind sight and not the tractors fault."
