"I use the tractor for mowing mostly and move some dirt on occasion. It performs great, but if I had to do it over again, I probably would have purchased the L3940 as it would have been a little more powerful. The tractor is light as you will have to use 4 wheel drive to move dirt as it will spin out too much. I had the rear tires filled with windshield washer fluid for weight, but I still have to use the 4 wheel drive too much as far as I am concerned. My drive is the glide shift transmission which I really like over the hydro as I don't have to keep my foot on the hydro pedal all the time. I have a loader and leave it on all of the time as you will be surprised how much it comes in handy for. I change the fluids myself and keep it in good shape. I also bought a 6 foot tiller for it and the tractor does a good job with it. I am very pleased with my Kubota."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Dependable, smooth, handling is good. Cons: Can't remove the screen for cleaning in front of the radiator with the loader on. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA IN I also considered buying:

"Great tractor and what an upgrade from my previous JD 850 and Kubota L3200. Like the Kubota dealer told me, but I didn't fully understand until I upgraded "it's a whole different tractor." Capability, transmission, and big turf tires make this an excellent all-around machine where much of my work includes buzzing across part of the yard. Yet I've had plenty of traction despite turf tires herein the Northwoods where we have more sandy soil than mud and clay when off the beaten path or in snow."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Great transmission and improved capability over the L3200. Cons: None. Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 Acres Location: USA WI I also considered buying:

"L3540HST, BH90, QA 714FEL, QA 4-in-1 bucket, 6' rotary mower, 6' box blade, chipper. Bought this and my 5 acre property at about the same time. It has done an amazing amount of work, from excavating to log skidding to landscaping and snow clearing, and now I use it regularly with my portable sawmill business. Maintenance is easy to do myself, and other than sometimes wishing the hydraulics were just a bit stronger, I've had no complaints about its performance. I don't know how I could possibly maintain my property without it."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: 4wd very good, good ground clearance, easy control operation. Cons: Hydraulics somewhat weak. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: CND OT I also considered buying: Kioti DK40SE HST

"Very pleased with tractor and loader performance, durability, quality. No real issues to speak of. I would recommend looking at Kubota. If I were to trade today, I would look at Massey because the service dept. at the Massey dealer is more trained on hydraulic & electrical troubleshooting, but as far as tractor and attachment quality go I have run both with excellent results."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Quality built from top to bottom. Cons: I cannot really think of any even after 5 years of use. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA WI I also considered buying:

"Fun tractor to use. Actually bought a L3800 first but took it back and got the grand. The features added to the grand are essential to get the most out of the tractor."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Quiet, stable, good loader and three point. Cons: Plastic front grill is easily damaged. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA WA I also considered buying: John Deere 4105, Kubota L3800

"This is the most sublime piece of machinery I have purchased in the whole course of my life. Every time I hop up into the seat, I just grin. I write the check for the monthly payment with the same grin. When I first bought it, I lined up my five sons and made a little speech, the substance of which was "I love you more than the tractor." I had to do that, because when they inevitably run it into a tree, or put gas instead of diesel in the fuel tank, I have to remind myself of what is really important in life. Because this tractor can sure turn one's head around. I replace an old 19hp John Deere CUT, which, bless its heart, could never quite accomplish what I asked of it. This thing ALWAYS performs flawlessly, with power to spare. I purchased two Kubota and three matching orange Land Pride implements with it (yeah, the orange paint is a luxury, but I am almost 50 years old and this is the last tractor I will own): 72" finish mower, 60" brush mower, 66" tiller, the 514 loader, and the 72" front mount snowblower. Kubota does not recommend the 72" front snowblower for this HP level, which is hogwash. My dealer put up a bit of a fuss about it, but he gave in and the blower works great in NW Wisconsin. Why anyone would spec a snowblower that does not clear the width of the rear tires, I will never understand. Great thanks to everyone on this site who helped me with that issue. I was one of those guys wondering whether the Cadillac was worth the money. I tried and priced ALL the competitors. I had spreadsheets and pro/con lists and lots of miles driving to dealers. Spent months making this decision. And I made the right decision. "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Fancy HST, swiveling seat, power, telescoping 3pt, heck, EVERYTHING! Cons: That I waited so many years before buying the right tractor. Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 Acres Location: USA WI I also considered buying: John Deere 3320, New Holland Boomer 35
