"After owning or renting various tractors in different horsepower ratings, I settled on a new 4x4 Kubota L3000 in 2000 for light work around the farm. Some 13 years later and I am glad that we made the purchase. I use a Ford 9000 and an old MF Super 90 for heavier work, but the Kubota is the preferred tractor for all the lighter work."
"This is a light weight (2400#) easily trailered rig. Okay PTO runs my 5' bush hog just fine. Pulls a good load, but I can lug it out with a 5' box blade if I cut too deep. My only complaint is the 4wd, as the shaft coupler stripped out. The previous owner ran a loader, maybe without rear weights. That put too much strain on the front wheel assist, so be careful."
"I love my tractor but the dealer was not for me. I bought from a JD dealer that has Kubota for their second line. Even though Kubota is outselling the green 2.5 - 1 they still make it seem like your making the wrong choice. The tractor may only have 32 hp. but I work it like a big machine. After adding rear remotes to it the list of chores got even longer. It makes a great rake tractor. Handles a V-rake like a dream. From lawn and garden to the hay field, it does it all."
"I honestly can say that I don't know how I could get along without this machine. It has been my best friend ever since the day she was delivered in my driveway. I thank my wife every time I use this tractor. Orange Blossom has not failed me at any task that I have asked her to do. I do take excellent care of this machine and I have to say she reciprocates constantly."
"I bought this used from Tx. The dealer was very helpful in showing all the ends and outs and negotiated a good price. Went home and put it to work right off. Moved a lot of dirt filling holes to make our new drive. Then spread 28 tons of gravel. Boy, what a change from doing it with a wheelbarrel and shovel. "
"I have only put on 3 hour since I have bought it and it has worked great. It is a very powerful tractor for 32 horses. It has 4 wheel drive and I was sure glad that it had, because it rained almost the whole weekend I was at my 40 acers in Iowa. I bought this tractor for 9,200.00 and it came with a flail mower, 7 ft back blade, post hole digger, and a boom. It only has 208 hrs when I bought it and it has always been garaged kept. When I had first signed up at tractor net I thought I was going to buy a B2910 Kubota."
"Has been a great little tractor. Plain, no bells and whistles to give trouble. Manual transmission shifts smooth if tractor is stopped, no synchros, so stopped or double clutch to shift on the roll. Hard to get into gear from neutral needs clutch break. PTO clutch drags; Had to disable safety switch; Had to shut down engine, engage PTO, restart engine with clutch in, still spins easy to rotate attachments such as rear mower. Reverse is geared high, fine for loader work but fast for general use."
"This little tractor I use more than anything else. It is a plain tractor without all the bells and whistles. I use it for just about everything and it has served me well."
"I bought my Kubota used with almost 100 hours on it. I use mine for everything you can imagine and it's handled everything I've thrown at it. My only complaint is that it feels a bit tippy, but I guess that's to be expected with a small tractor on fairly steep hills. It's got plenty of power for what I need. I regularly bush hog (5'), plow (middle buster), till (5' king kutter), move snow (box blade and front end loader), haul logs for firewood and lumber, and a million other things around the house. The only problem I've had is a leaky loader cylinder. I took it off and had the rings replaced and it works fine now."
"I wanted a tractor with 4WD to replace a well used 1951 Ford 8N. After comparing John Deere and New Holland I decided on this Kubota with a front end loader. The reputation Kubota had was a major point in making a decision as well as the price. The Kubota is used for gathering firewood and keeping the driveway plowed in the winter. It has proven to be a very useful machine is easy to operate and reliable. The only issues early on were a hydraulic hose fitting on the loader split, which the dealer replaced. And, a valve in the 3PH hydraulic system had a piece of metal filling stuck in it causing the 3PH to drop unexpectedly, the dealer fixed this problem quickly also. I would buy one like it again."
