"This is by far the best little tractor I have used for the value. I do have an X495 John Deere that has a better cut, with a little more finesse built into it, but the BX has durability with great value. The X495 isn't 4-wheel drive. If it is tough going I use the BX. If it isn't, I use the X495. Both are great tractors. It just depends on the use."
"This is the best piece,of equipment I have ever purchased. It has minor faults with the turn signal and light switches not being waterproof. The factory seat was uncomfortable and had a tendency to slide off the seat. I replaced the seat (100$) and do periodic maintenance that involves cleaning the inside of the light switches. Overall, it is an excellent tractor that I would highly recommend."
"I have a Kubota BX2230 and have found that this piece of equipment was worth every penny that I paid for it. I am a preventative maintenance freak and have kept this machine very well maintained. I have been fortunate to be able to have it garage kept, so it looks like new. The machine is all metal so it is very heavy for its size. The belly mower provides a nice finish cut. I have a front loader (which I would recommend getting) that has enabled me to do so many yard, home and neighborhood things that I don't know how I would have been able to do if I didn't have it. I looked at a lot of yard tractors when I bought my Kubota and found that it would work the best for my needs."
"The Kubota seat had no suspension so I replaced it. The belly mower is somewhat difficult to install and remove but with a little practice can be done in a few minutes. The 3-cylinder diesel is very powerful and efficient. Love the loader attachment and it is easy to install and remove. For a subcompact tractor, I am very impressed with its capabilities and I'm glad I bought it."
"Overall, we like this tractor, although I'm still not really impressed with the HST, mixed about it, I guess. Good power, actually I am impressed with power. We used to have an old Kubota and with larger frame it had less power than this one. This was used very extensively this past winter, plowing not only our own driveways, but two neighbors home driveways also, and we had near record snowfall this last season."
"i bought this tractor new and have had it for 10 years and on balance its been a excellent tractor. i have the following attachments: 60" belly mower, front loader and a rear blade. i currently use the tractor for grass cutting (were cutting 6 acres) and also for plowing snow. It does a excellant job of cutting grass and will cut heavy wet grass with ease and go about as fast as you can stand. The only draw back is the tractor does not much of a suspension and does bounce you around if you try to cut to fast. with 4wd it does a good job of plowing snow and with the mower taken off for the winter its pretty hard to get it stuck, i've yet to get it stuck in the winter where i couldn't get it out. the loader is the best part of the tractor its only rated at 470# but I know i've had well over 600# in there and it has worked flawlessly, i use it for everything from putting things in and out of the pickup, to taking out the garbage to effortlessly moving 6 yards of dirt in a couple of hours even picking up the front end of my lawn tractor to sharpen the blades. the only bad thing i can say about this tractor is the lights and turn signals, these have all stop working after 4 years, pretty poor design, the water gets in the switches and they don't work. somebody forgot to tell the designer that tractors work out in th elements, but it is of small concern........great tractor, would buy again"
"I've had my BX2230 about 7 years now. I have 5-6 acres of yard pasture to cut every summer, and the residual fallen branches/trees from heavy winter snows to pick up in the spring and not to mention the heavy snow removal of the winter. The BX2230 knocks it all out of the park in spades. The Kubota BX2230 is one of the better purchases I've made in my life time."
"Great little tractor but I could have been just as happy with a compact model."
"Love it. Don't know how I could survive without it."
"The FEL will help me shape up the small property I just moved into, and also maintain and make improvements on the Mil's larger property next door. With the future addition of a front mount blower and rear box blade, I'll be set. Of course, a nice cab would only increase the comfort in the ND winters (lol). Maybe payed a little too much (10,250), but it was only a 2 hr. drive to pick it up."
