"I bought my BX2200 used with 770 hours and one owner. Having owned John Deere all my life, I was skeptical, but it has proven to be more than I expected.
It is very reliable and trouble free. I have put 50 hours on it and have done nothing but put fuel in, which is just what I hoped for. I just need to get a loader next."

"The Kubota dealer said he has never heard of this happening and he does not know why. It is just ridiculous to pay $15,000 for a low-hour machine that can't even last a year. I am looking to find a knock off replacement. "
REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Pros: It is 4-wheel driveCons: Low power not good for grading, blew engine, piston cracked in halfType of User: Homeowner 10-50 AcresLocation: USA MII also considered buying: John Deere 2010 REVIEWER'S PHOTOS

"My BX takes care of 1 1/4 acre with lots (30+) tree removal and brush burning. Also, snow removal and rototilling.
I bought it used. The previous owner did not do the scheduled maintenance on the transmission.
The issue I have is the rear axle seal housings came loose from the axle housing and started leaking. Had to drain the trans and seal the housing into the axle with red RTV.
Other than that. the unit has taken all the abuse I can give it."

"Powerful, reliable, quality, says it all. The only bad thing is that I do not like the rocker foot control. I had a JD 4100 before this and the JD Twin Touch pedals can not be beat."

"One of the main reasons I bought my Kubota SCUT was because smallish tractors are a bit difficult to find here in Belize. I actually tried to find a larger one (30-40 HP or so), but I didn't want to wait any longer, and this one was there and ready to go.
It came with a mid-mount 54" finish mower and an LA211 front loader. Well so far I have been quite impressed with him; more powerful than I expected, and economical to run. I believe I paid a fair price and will be pleased with what the little fella can do around here, a 20 acre plot with pastures, ponds and fruit and hardwood orchard."
REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Pros: Economical, powerful, fits in small spots, easy to transport.Cons: 660 hours of unknown history.Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 AcresLocation: SAM OTI also considered buying: John Deere 3005 REVIEWER'S PHOTOS

"Bought used 220hrs. 60" belly mower, rear blade, FEL; added PTO bagger.
Common problems (mine has had them all) are:
- Hydraulic hoses fail way too often (incl. power steering hoses). Arm and leg to replace some because of access.
- Fuel tank leaks if full and they ALL do apparently.
- Brakes are utterly useless (make sure you are in low range and engine running if you need to stop! Have to use the drive).
- Hood clatter is nuisance when shut off engine. Not a functional problem.
- Bagger is serious and not cheap."
REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Pros: Power, good deck, reliable except for hoses, strong, well made. Lifetime machine.Cons: Hoses, hoses and also hoses. No brakes. Tank leaks if full.Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 AcresLocation: USA MDI also considered buying: John Deere 2200 REVIEWER'S PHOTOS

"10+ years it has been a good-tough work horse tractor overall, very tough with a few complaints. Factory hoses are crap, but Kubota replaced all hydraulic hoses, under, and some after, warranty had expired thanks to a good local dealer.
No problems with engine and drive-train. Hydraulics are a little week for FEL, power steering cylinder has had to be rebuilt twice before 850 hours. Fuel tank has leak if filled up which seems to be very common issue."
REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Pros: Good HP, reliable, good quality MMM mows level and clean.Cons: Weak hydraulic flow when using FEL, factory hoses don't last.Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 AcresLocation: USA NCI also considered buying: REVIEWER'S PHOTOS
