Great Tool; I Find Things To Do With It!

Model year: 2002 Date Purchased: 2015-05-06 Number of Hours: 345

"I am a professional who has little time to play with things. I like to get my tool, get to work and not fool with things. The BX-22 is reliable to a fault! I have broken a few things due to carelessness, but not due to product failure! I love the Kubota Tractor and would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of buying a similar product. Have no doubts or hesitation! This tractor allows me to do the work or 20 men!"

Great Tractor with Hydrostatic Trans Issue

Model year: 2001 Date Purchased: 2001-06-06 Number of Hours: 1167

"The tractor is great and stronger than it seems. The backhoe can flip over a house (sarcasm). The rest works great, except: Recently the hydrostatic trans has began slipping or not moving as much as it used to was told that the pump may be failing(?). Also I broke the diff-lock by engaging while moving in a turn---dumb me. So now it is immobile in my barn. Any info on hassles to repair. I am a auto/cycle/aircraft mechanic by trade."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Great little tractor. Cons: Long way to dealer and expensive dealer. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA MD I also considered buying: Kubota BX25, Ford-New Holland 1215

"The Kubota BX22 does everything it is built to do. I have a front snow blower that works like it should. The only thing that I wish it had is a little stronger loader. If it could only lift a bigger load it would be the greatest tractor going."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Everything has worked like it should for ten years. Cons: Front loader does not life enough. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA CA I also considered buying:

Model year: 2003 Date Purchased: 2006-08-10 Number of Hours: 520

"I purchased my BX22 used in 2006 with 200 hrs on it. The tractor was new in 2003. It came with the LA210 loader, BT600 Backhoe, 60" belly mower, box grader and 8 position blade (rear mount). These attachments have made life easier. Lifting and moving things without an aching back is the best feature. I now have 520 hrs. on it and it runs like the day I purchased it. The tractor has always been stored indoors so the sun and rain have not effected it new look. So far I haven't had to do anything to this tractor except change the fluids and filters. Well worth the purchase! "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Parts reasonably priced, easy to work on if you had to, strong for a small unit. Cons: Dealer charges a lot for labor if you cannot do something yourself. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA NJ I also considered buying:

"The BX22 is small but powerful. It was so tippy I had to get the wheel spacers (Bro-Tek). Due to it's size it has limited ability but as they say it replaces the shovel and wheelbarrow."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Power. Cons: Tippy, lift capacity of loader. Type of User: Homeowner 50-100 Acres Location: USA MT I also considered buying:

"Very well built tractor. Kubota quality is outstanding. The backhoe is perfect for digging footers, but it is not powerful enough to quickly remove tree stumps. The front loader is strong. I additionally purchased the Kubota 6 foot belly mount finish mower. This is an outstanding product that mower very powerfully. I would like to get the bagger for this item. Also have a 5 foot rear blade, for plowing snow. And a 4 foot King Cutter tiller. This tiller goes 6 inches deep and the 22 hp engine can handle this with ease."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Powerful little tractor that goes more places than larger tractors. Cons: Seat cracks in 3 years. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA VA I also considered buying:

"I bought my BX22 new after destroying 5 used 18-22 hp "garden tractors" in 4 yrs. Since then I've build 3 3k-5k gal. fish ponds, dug 2 foundations for small addition (300sqft, 1100sqft) spread 100-200 tons of gravel, pushed too much snow to believe (1200-1500 ft of 18' road & 10 driveways each snow, 5-10 times a year.) I have the stock Front End loader, Backhoe, 54" mid-mount mower deck, 51" rear mount snow blower after market equipment 60" rear blade & a set of removable teeth for the FEL. So far this tractor has far exceeded all of my expectations. Maintenance has been simple & straightforward. I've had 3 hydraulic hoses that have developed pinholes & were easily replaced. The only gripe is the trans-axle fan is in a particularly bad location and unprotected from damage. Repair is a major hassle, for a $4.00 part labor was quoted out at $750 due to the scale of disassemble & reassembly required. This has been addressed in the later models but no recall or refit for the older BX's. I only wish I bought it sooner than spend the extra $$$ of used junk. "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Simple Maintence, Multiple attachments, real PTO & 3 point hitch. Cons: Dealers parts are $$$, Transaxle Fan is an achillies heel. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA MD I also considered buying: John Deere 2000, John Deere 110 TLB

Handy little tractor

"I mostly use it for hauling and lifting heavy objects. A real back saver. The backhoe would be great for softer soil. The little BX is no match for our So California DG. It is fine where fill was used. In the native soil around here it just cannot do much work. Everything has limitations. I sold my rototiller for that reason also. Just bounced around and did not do what I needed. It is the only diesel tractor that would fit in many places around our place so buying bigger would not work for us. "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: small and good power, stable on fairly steep hillsides. Does not use much fuel. Cons: Too light for tough digging Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA CA I also considered buying:
