"Could not live without it and would not want anything else. Bought this little tractor 6 years ago in Vermont and have been very happy with it since. It only had 700 hours on it and is now at 1200. Only use it in the summer because I have a RTV 900 with a front snow blower for the winter. With a little over 35 green acres, 70% or so forest, a 1 acre pond with trouts, 5 miles or so of trails, it is the perfect machine for me. Little backhoe (Tifermek 15) was useful but I recently purchased a Takeuchi TB016 excavator so I will sell the backhoe. Except for a few electrical problems, this machine works fine and is very useful (to me and my neighbors who borrow it very often). Only very annoying problem is that it often refuses to start and goes “click, click"”, four or five times before it goes. Getting a reason for that problem is the main reason I got on this site and I already got a few good suggestions. As we say in French, “Quelques pistes de solution”. "

"The B2400HSD with Bi-Speed turn has been a versatile, reliable team of horses to pull logs from the woods, dig in the garden, pile up the snow and mow the four acres of lawn. The only challenge have been the hydraulic leaks, which are now repaired after the tractor "split" and seal replacement and the front axle leaks which soon will be resolved with new seals as well."

"The Kubota B2400 that I have is a good little tractor, but this particular unit has a BI-SPEED turn valve on it, and the valve is acting up a bit. Would strongly recommend the same tractor without the Bi-Speed valve, as the valve is not very useful when the loader is on."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Great power, versatility, and user friendly. Cons: Bi-speed turn valve no good for FEL applications. Type of User: Location: CND OT I also considered buying:

"Overall the tractor has been excellent for the purpose I use it for---cutting 1.5 acres of grass, and snowblowing. The only real issues I have had is: 1) The starting system has a number of safety switches, that after time build-up resistance and prevents a full 12 volts from reaching the starter. The solution is to install a John Deere relay kit (approx. $35.00) if you know what to buy. This solved the starting problems completely. 2) The second issue was with the front left steering knuckle seal leaking axle oil. This was a pain to fix, but all is well now. I would highly recommend the Kubota brand. "

"Had 950 hrs. when purchased; now have over 1200. Have had a few repairs since purchased but overall very pleased. Repairs include HST pump repair, +-$2,000; bearing replacement on clutch, $650; steering arm, +-$90; and belt for mmm, $60. I guess that is not too bad for 9 years. Only time it did not start was when the lights were left on and the battery was low."

"Not much to say, expensive and worth it. No complaints. I have the mower deck, front bucket, front mount snowblower, rototiller, back blade, and subsoiler. It does everything I need on a small property. The front bucket mount system is superb, excellent design, on or off in 60 seconds. the front mount snowblower mount could be easier to take on and off. The dealer, Pristows Sales and Service are great."

"I've owned this tractor for a little over two years, putting about 200 hours on it. I use it for pasture mowing (bush hog), riding arena and horse sacrifice area maintenance (harrow/box blade), manure loading (FEL), and general horse owner tasks. I love the tractor, and the only problem has been the low voltage starting problem fixed with a JD low voltage relay as described in the thread below. Maintenance is easy and straightforward. Very helpful manual. No bells and whistles but a good, reliable little worker. http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kubota-owning-operating/111713-b2400-starter.html"
