Model year: 2005 Date Purchased: 2018-09-14 Number of Hours: 1,000

"I purchased this tractor used with 400 hours. I've performed all maintenance as scheduled and had very few repairs. However, plastic fuel tanks are a problem with leaking; replacing is a challenge."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Versatile, strong Cons: Fuel tank leaks at molded seam, possibly a manufacturing defect Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 Acres Location: USA FL I also considered buying:

"I bought this tractor used with 389 hours on it, and with the loader and backhoe attachments included. It looked and performed like new. The only issue I had was at 790 hours the shuttle shift kicked back into neutral when driving forward while scooping dirt in the front loader. Any sort of problem could happen with any tractor, so it was no big deal. I took it to the dealer in Ellisville, Mississippi. They fixed it for $512.58 out the door and it was absolutely perfect when they finished. Give them a call if you live within range and have a problem. They are great to deal with. I have dug up every stump in the area, dug field lines, lifted, hauled, pulled - there is not much it can't do. I love this thing. My wife calls it "the other woman." Go on and get one. You won't be disappointed. I'm at 900+ hours now with no further issues."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Dependable, heavily built, everything is right where you need it, powerful Cons: No cab on my unit Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA AL I also considered buying:

"It is near new and always stiff and clunky shifting forward and reverse. The dealer said it would smooth out as it broke in,. Now it will hardly go in gear. The dealer worked on it and said something about the neutral switch adjustment. It worked okay for about a day. Now they don't seem to have a clue what to do and are not offering any help. This is what you get for not staying with a NAME brand. I should have stayed with John Deere, or Kabota if I wanted orange. It is still under warranty, and I can't get any help."

Pros: Good color Cons: Poor warranty commitment Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 Acres Location: USA MO I also considered buying: John Deere 3038E, Kubota B3300SU

"This is my second tractor, but my first that is capable of doing real work on my place. The prior one was a Kubota 22HP toy with a small bucket and a 3-pt hitch and PTO. For its size it was decent and totally trouble free but it wasn't heavy enough for any serious work. The Kioti DK45SE is plenty for what I need to get done. It's sturdy, stable and reliable and very fuel efficient. I can run it all day on a few gallons of diesel. The only problem I've had keeping me from rating it 5 stars in the first 2 years I've owned it is a relay in the starter circuit that went out. The tech who fixed it at my place was very quick and said he had seen this fault many times on my model which made finding and fixing it quick and easy. This model is 4WD and strong. I bought it new and this model and the Kubota were recommended to me by neighbors with much more experience than me. Almost no regrets to date on making this my first real work horse tractor."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Sturdiness, power, stability. Cons: Reliability: I would rate it 9 out of 10 with only one fault in 2 years that was quickly repaired. Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 Acres Location: USA MO I also considered buying: Ford-New Holland 4630, Kubota L4600

"Bought a DK45S and a bunch of implements to help manage my property. I have not had one problem with this tractor to date except for a missing bolt that vibrated out of the bottom of the joystick. $1.09 to repair. I do all maintenance myself. Straight forward. No issues. This is my first tractor so unfortunately I have no way to measure against other experiences."

Pros: Great tractor for the money. Cons: None that I can think of. Type of User: Homeowner 100+ Acres Location: USA NH I also considered buying:

"About 200% better than the Cub Cadet 6284 that I used to have. This tractor has more features than most others in it class. It is bigger than 50 hp tractors of the other tractors that starts with the letter K. "

"This is the first machine I have owned. I had reviewed tractors for about 4 years before making a purchase. For the money I found the Kioti to be the best. I have used it to clear approx. four acres for new construction. I also used it for ditching with the backhoe. I look forward to many long years of use with the machine."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Power, features. Cons: Could use a guard for the foward control valve. Type of User: Homeowner 50-100 Acres Location: USA ME I also considered buying: John Deere 4110, Kioti DS4110

"The Kioti has been a real work horse for me. I recently spread over 67 tons of hardpack (3/4" crushed rock)this fall. It helps me fall, buck, split around 5 to 6 cords of firewood a year. With the KB2385 backhoe digs out stumps and large rocks with ease. Haven't had a lick of trouble with it. Plowed my driveway, pushed the banks back easily. Just a joy to use."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Reliable, Strong, powerful and well made. Cons: Rear remote valve dedent is not working; Bungeed when needed. Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 Acres Location: USA NH I also considered buying:

"Very good tractor for our property. Look solid for the tractor itself but the bucket could be made with thicker steel. Nicely equipped for this size. Had some minor problem with one of the rear remote stick. But the dealer help me resolved my issue. Had a other issue with a box blade that the dealer did not resolved, but my present review is on the tractor, not the attachments Compare to others, it's the best tractor in this price range. I had a good buying experience with my dealer who is Distribution Payeur in Ascot Corner here in Quebec Canada Nice price, good delivery service etc."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Nice solid tractor, well equipped. Cons: The metal thickness of the bucket should be higher. Type of User: Homeowner 100+ Acres Location: CND OT I also considered buying: TYM 580, TYM T723
