"Not much left to be said. It would appear I am one of the lucky ones as mine is just starting to fail. As I am in Canada, I'm trying to find a dealer here (maybe not any cheaper than paying tax, custom duties and shipping). Since the Briggs and Stratton works great I would like to fix the tranny. Thanks to all for great info."
REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Pros: Has been good.Cons: I feel should last the life od the L120.Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 AcresLocation: CND OTI also considered buying: Simplicity Conquest REVIEWER'S PHOTOS

"All in all this has been a great tractor for mowing. I mow about one acre per week in the summer. The K46 transmission just went out at 254 hours, which is about standard for this transmission, but with the help of this forum, I was able to rebuild it myself.
For less than $200.00 in parts, it took about four hours to do the job. Should be good for another 250 hours. I still like this tractor a lot. It has been very dependable till the tranny went out."
REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Pros: Mows good and everything works good.Cons: If the deck snags on a root, it can bend the front deck hanger piece.Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 AcresLocation: USA NCI also considered buying: REVIEWER'S PHOTOS

"Ya the paint is peeling from the foot board ares and off the deck, I spray and wash -dry after every use! The seat cracked after the first year and I had engine oil leaks at 275 hrs.
Major engine fix intake gaskets seals ect.
guess this Deere was a want a be!!know its time to
rebuild the deck at 300 hrs.

"Paint job is not holding up on frame and mower deck has a
very poor paint job for the price that I paid
for it. Also the seat has two cracks. The decal came off of the front hood.
I like the 12 power port and other features such as the
electric mower clutch and hydrostatic drive. However, the reverse position lacks some power.
"
REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Pros: The features, electric clutch and 12 volt power port.Cons: Bad paint job-not holding up.Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 AcresLocation: USA INI also considered buying: REVIEWER'S PHOTOS
