"Your advice was right on. F1 fuse would blow every time starter was turned on. Replaced cold start plug, works great. Saved me $300.00. Part was $49.95."

"Power to spare when using tillage equipment (6 bottom chisel plow and 6 ft wide disk). With front end loader and power reverser transmission, it is great for clearing fields of brush and trees. Able to pull a 4 ton Stoltzfus lime spreader. I put forks on the front to lift trees when cutting firewood and can easily skid out trees to be cut up. Backhoe is able to most of the work I ask it to do, but it is not the most comfortable seat I have used. All attachments are very easy and quick to change compared to tractors from 20 years ago. The only thing I had problems with was it was a little light in the back end when the loader bucket had a heavy load or when pulling the 4 ton lime spreader on a freshly plowed field, I added wheel weights to correct this problem. As far as reliability the only is was after 2 years the battery went bad dealer said it had a short in it and if it is not run for more than 6 weeks I have to crank it for about 30 seconds to get it to start. On the plus side is in cold weather starting it is great not having to jump it or charge the battery or use either like I had to with my old Massey Ferguson. Overall a great tractor for putting in food plots and general all around use. Also this is my first tractor with a cab and I love it for many reasons: air conditioning, heater, rain protection, snow protection, dust protection and it is much quieter."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

"I find the steel in the hitches to be weaker than the engine. I also find the hydraulics to be slower and weaker than expected. Especially on front bucket etc."

"The JD is still new to us so still getting use to it. Handles like pick up and seems to be powerful for its apparent little size. A cab came with it so we can use it to move snow in the winter. We also got a set of pallet forks so we can do a number of odd jobs and save the old back - moving fire wood, hay bales, yard clean up, building repair, etc. Still need to get a mounted plow and disc harrow for it. nckennedy"

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Heavy construction, built in America, popular brand so plenty of parts. Cons: Had to convert bucket loader attachment to standard "univeral plate" Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 Acres Location: USA NY I also considered buying: John Deere 145

"I studied and worried for nearly a year before ordering my JD. My faithful old Ferguson died on me at the beginning of the season with 80 acres of hay to process and 10 acres of new ground to seed. I talked to allot of old guys that advised at my age to buy the tractor I wanted, not just to settle. I took their advice and ordered this tractor exactly the way I wanted it. The dealer was great. He had been telling me for that entire year that I could buy a new tractor cheaper than I could buy a used one. After a year of worry and study, he was right. This tractor has been great. "
