"It was purchased used from a farmer that needed a bigger machine. We use it to manage about 40 acres of forestland, maintain trails, brush-hog some meadows. Small enough to get in between trees, but can handle some decent size logs. We use it routinely with pallet forks to move skids of firewood and construction supplies. Reliability has been great, only one minor fluid leak on front drive unit, which was solved by re-torquing housing bolts. Starts easily in cold weather with no block heater. "

"I purchased a 4510 to use in for commercial landscape construction, building my house, and small scale farming of 10 acres of hay. I am really please with the tractor and it's many uses. I have a 6ft mid mounted mower to mow the yard, a backhoe to dig footers for retaining walls, you name it and I have probably done it with this tractor. "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Versatility and ability to take on many tasks. Cons: Premium price for filters and lubricants from the dealer. Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 Acres Location: USA MI I also considered buying: John Deere 990, John Deere 110 TLB

"I have no complaints about this tractor. It starts easily, even in very cold temperatures, and it runs smoothly even when cold. I bought it used, and the previous owner used it hard and did not take the best care of it (it should have been greased more often and it was not garaged or cleaned at all). The vinyl seat has cracked, and it needs to be replaced, but everything works as it should. The tractor came with backhoe and loader. I am missing the 3-point hitch parts, and I am disappointed that the lower arms, sway blocks, and links cost well over $1,000 to buy from a dealer. I can get aftermarket parts for under $200, but I would rather have the original manufacturer's parts, since the quality is said to be much better. I have been holding off because of the price, and I am hoping to come across a used 3-point setup for this machine. I have another tractor to run my attachments, in the meantime."
