"This tractor is awesome. It has a loader, backhoe, forklift attachment, log splitter and front mount snow blower. I use this machine year round. This thing eats through snow and the neighbors love me when the plows pile up the white stuff in huge piles and their driveways shrink. I come in and throw it 20 feet out. Plenty of bottles have appeared at my door. I thought I over bought but it has paid for itself by trenching, carrying wood on skids, digging in rocky soil, and not making a huge mess like a large machine. My wood is split for the year. I move the wood into position after Halloween and put the snow blower on and it is ready for snow. Do not buy a trailer. People borrow this machine by calling a car carrier and it's hard to say no. "The 4210 ehydro has done it all and more. I use a 60" tiller, 60" brush hog, 60" box scraper, single bottom 12" plow, 60" rake, 72" disk, bucket teeth, front forks, 72" rear blade. Use all year round and put about 100 hours per year. Has been a great tractor. Always starts easily. Runs great."

"Tractor initially stopped constantly the first week all due to a loose computer module but the dealer I bought it from sent a tech from Maryland I live in pa.until the simple cause was found. Great support. Would definitely buy again. I recently replaced a wheel seal to the tune of $1,000.00 but that's all I had done in 12 years."

"Great tractor, love the hydro drive, and 4x4 gives it much more pull. I've had a few problems with cruise switches, and wire connectors getting dirty under the frame.. but I got some good help from the dealer, and tractor is 100%."

"This John deere 4210 has been the best tractor a small farmer cold ask for. It has never failed except for a left front wheel seal. When I'm ready to go to work it is ready to go. I make sure it is serviced when it is recommended and that I use it for what it was designed to do. There is a bucket on it and I have a few attachments to make and maintain wildlife food plots. Just a great tractor."

"I am a general contractor and homeowner on 3 acres. i definitely use the tractor beyond what it should be expected to perform. I have a FEL, BH, and 6' county line box blade. So far I'm impressed. I have torn apart a 18" backhoe bucket beyond repair removing the stump of a 100' oak tree from my future driveway. The FEL seems a little undersized or underpowered from what I'd like. I had 20 tons of 2" stone delivered the other day and the tractor had trouble scooping up and lifting a 3/4 full bucket. Maybe it's also age catching up. I'm not complaining, I'd buy this tractor again in a heartbeat. It's my first. Small enough to be transported in a 14' dump trailer with plenty of other supplies for hardscaping projects. Light enough to not tear up yards. This tractor is not a toy, but it's also not a mini excavator or skid steer. It's a great all around machine."

"I'm fairly pleased with this tractor. I bought this one with just under 1200 hours on it and I use it for mainly cutting grass and brush hogging the woods. My only complaint about the tractor itself is the transmission. It's equipped with the sync shift standard transmission and at times it's a pain to get the right gear. I'm assuming due to wear in the shift linkage but I'm not sure. As well as after running at PTO speed for an hour or so, the clutch becomes sticky and grabby. As for attachments, the loader is great. It's equipped with the 420 loader and I have no complaints about it. The 7-iron 60" mower deck cuts great, but it doesn't provide much suction for using a lawn vacuum. Another downfall is how low the deck hangs. Its very easy to get things caught in the deck or destroy one of the lift bushings when your using the tractor for dirt activities. If your buying a deck. Buy a drive over one. The regular decks are a royal pain to take on and off. And most of the time I need to use the loader to lift the tractor up to get the deck out. Another thing is, the turf tires are terrible. Even in grass I find them ripping up more than the R4 tires that are on a friends 2320 that I've used many times. So other than the little things, it's a great tractor and has enough power to do all the things I need to do. Just wish it was outfitted a little differently from the factory."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Reliable, easy to use, not very loud. Cons: Turf Tires, non drive over deck. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA PA I also considered buying:

"I have 8 acres and purchased this to take care of my land. Equipped with FEL, 60" brush hog, 60" box blade, and log splitter. This is a perfect size for me and my little farm. I use the tractor for the usual mowing, dirt work, pulling/hauling everything from manure to grand kids to rocks, to hay. I've found the bucket is perfect for mixing cement for planting fence posts! I also use it to pull grapevine out of the trees. Perhaps the best of all though is that if my tractor is running my 5 year old grandson thinks he is supposed to be on it with me. He can now drive it on his own with me working the pedals."

Pros: Durable, powerful for the size, comfortable. Cons: I developed an oil leak near the rear axle after 400 hours. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA TX I also considered buying:
