"I bought this tractor from (redacted) back in July 2019. It's been nothing but trouble. They had it in their shop for a month to fix an oil leak. They replaced a gasket and it still leaked. Then they had to special order the bottom pan. Now it's back in their shop because the drive belt broke already. Mind you, this is a 2019! I asked for a refund and got denied. I wish I had bought it at home Depot. I would have got a new tractor or a refund. This dealer won't do either. I will never recommend John Deere or this dealer to anyone."

"We recently experienced the failure of the trans-axle on two of the John Deere lawn tractors. It took about 2 hours per axle and one performed as a new one. It was the one that did not have any metal filings captured by the magnet. The other is still a little suspect, but appears to operate better, it had some metal filings on the magnet. Time will tell us more and we will up date. All we had to do was change the fluid and replace it with the proper lubricant, saved about $750.00."

"Can't believe how poor this mower runs and how bad authorized service is. It has never run right and the service people don't have a clue how to fix it. Example is it runs like crap and the fuel filter is running empty. They changer the oil, oil filter, fuel filter "CLUE". Spark plug and told me to only run leaded fuel. $300 billed and it wasn't fixed. I had to fix it myself. I will never buy or recommend a John Deere product or service center to anyone!"

Pros: It's Green. Cons: I runs like crap and the authorized service center is clueless. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA NC I also considered buying:

"In all fairness, I can't blame the tractor, but only myself for choosing the wrong tractor for my property. The D110 was not intended to mow a three acre hilly field with a hydro-static transmission. I mow eight acres total, but the field is the challenge. I has burned out ninety five percent, and I'm trying to make it through one more mowing season, due to financial stress. I also called a Deere dealership in Newland, NC, and learned that the tractors they make for Lowe's, is a lower grade tractor. Why didn't I go to a dealer first?! Just a city guy that didn't know. Would appreciate any advice. Thanks!"

Pros: Nice tractor for two years use on normal flat lawn. Cons: Not meant for heavy duty. Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 Acres Location: USA NC I also considered buying:

Model year: 1964 Date Purchased: 2003-06-01 Number of Hours: unknown

"I purchased my 110 ten years ago from a young man in NC. He told me that one of his neighbors had purchased it new in 1964, used it until about 2000, then parked it. He acquired it from the neighbor and repainted it then sold it to me with 38" mower deck, tiller and front blade. It is equipped with the original Kohler 8HP engine and a hydraulic lift cylinder. This tractor interested me because my dad bought a new 110 in 1966 that was an identical setup except for the hydraulics, so it was just like being a kid again to cut grass, push snow or till the garden with."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Heavy built, plenty of oomph for only being 8HP. Cons: None. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA VA I also considered buying:
