"Good value, powerful small tractor with strong loader and easy to work on."
"Tractor has an industrial front end and a full size loader bucket, Sherman hi-lo auxiliary transmission. Replaced all the gauges, thermostat and dealt with minor issues such as rebuilding carb, welding a few cracked sheet metal pieces, PS pump, major tune-up, new battery. Starts like a dream with the 6 volt battery tender hooked up, even at 5 below. Use Amsoil 10-30 synthetic oil, starter does not labor as much as my friend's 841 does with dinosaur oil. Working on painting the tin now. There is one major issue. The oil seal on the Sherman transmission input shaft leaks. I have to split the tractor and remove the Sherman hi-lo to replace a $5.85 oil seal. I was amazed the local New Holland dealer had the seal, transmission-engine housing gasket and transmission cover gasket all in stock. A testament to the number of tractors made and still in normal operation. "
"I have three (2 diesel, 1 gas)."
