"There are many old Fiat small crawler tractors still operational around here (Mary Valley Qld, Australia). They were originally used for pineapple, bean and small crop cultivation on steep slopes.
I still use mine in a small commercial market garden, mainly for operating slow tillage implements (deep ripper and spreader). Surprisingly, parts are still relatively cheap and available, so it is possible to keep such an old machine operating.
I cannot afford to replace this machine with a modern equivalent to do the same job, so until it is absolutely un-repairable, I will keep using it.
Surprisingly, this model old Fiat crawler still seems to holding a trade value of 8 to 12 thousand dollars if in good operating condition, a value which hasn't changed much in the last 15 years."
REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Pros: No affordable substitute in modern market for such a small crawler tractor.Cons: Slow, noisy and primitive.Type of User: Commercial FarmerLocation: AUS OTI also considered buying: REVIEWER'S PHOTOS
