"I first purchased a Cub 2544 in late 2008 and had nothing but problems, although the Dealer repaired each issue, and did it all promptly at no charge; it was still very upsetting for me. I wanted a tractor that would last and be of a quality that I could be proud of and to own. When I traded it on the GT 3200 after looking at Simplicity, the Deer, and Kubota – it was in my best interest to stay with a Cub, financially and to meet my needs. I just like the look of a Cub and the History of the tractor firm, I realize that most of this has changed – but, my feeling about ownership has not. I do wonder if the travel, left to right, and up and down, on the Berco blade is correct, it appears to be less than expected. It is only about a 5 to 5.5 inch travel total. This does not seem right, but again, I have nothing to judge this movement on, other than appearance. My overall experience to date is excellent, and the Dealer JE Andrews & Sons, has been excellent as well, they provide superior service and care when working on my units."

"This cub cadet is very good at what we have had it do. We have a triple bagger for it to pickup tree leaves & grass that gets too thick. The mower deck is very heavy & really dose a excellent job. We bent one spindle on mower but was our own fault. It is the best tractor mower we have ever had."

"This tractor has the Kohler Command 25 HP 2-cylinder engine. It replaced a 1978 IH Cub 1450 with 44A deck and hydraulic snow plow. It has the 54-inch mowing deck which is a huge improvement over the 44A. The power steering is a joy, eliminating the need to add a steering wheel spinner knob that I used on the 1450. The 44A required monthly cleaning underneath whereas the 54-inch has required cleaning once a year or less. It weighs 260 pounds so the less the better. I mow 1 acre with some uneven areas and many tree roots. It works well trimming around many small trees and shrubs after disabling the Reverse-no-mow feature. It has not required dealer service yet. The forward speed is less than advertised, even after adjusting reverse to a crawl for maximum forward speed. I jury-rigged a 2-inch pedal extension on the forward pedal which allowed adjustment for a higher forward and reverse speed."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Sturdy build, good cut Cons: Poor adjustment to gain forward speed. Poor mounting of headlight bezel. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA OH I also considered buying: John Deere GT345
