"At 80 hours, these are the defective items: electric clutch, spindle bearings and covers, the muffler came apart and melted the plastic hood, belts, and the transmission will not move the machine. This mower, at this time, has no value with only 80 hours on it."
"It was alright, but you can't clean it very well, because you can't spray it with water because of the electronics. It mowed fine---not great on hills compared to a Craftsman or a Murray (high center of gravity, will tip). Engine gave out 2011. Not a long lifespan for a 2000 dollar machine, but I liked it when it worked."
"Well pleased with performance, cutting and bagging 1/4 A zoyzia and 1 A of fescue/weeds and other faithful volunteer green stuff. "
"To be fair, I probably should not have purchased any CC 1000 series for my 3-4 acre lawn. I have a bit uneven lawn with many trees and it is part of a small horse farm (I have a tractor and finishing mower for that) and I have used the Cub to trim a swath next to fences, where damaged has occurred. Specifically, I have the LT 1042 pre-2007 (some changes affect the mower deck/ parts/etc). The Great part: Engine starts up every time, runs great, uses a lot of gas. I have seen reviewed before. Tires seem to work fine, you can spin the tires easily on inclines, and they do tear up the lawn immediately when you spin. The mower deck has literally fallen apart in a relatively short time. Rock hits have put holes in the deck, the safety chute ripped off, belts have been chewed up, etc. Easy disconnect, but I have had to toss the pulley covers for easier access to the belt path Small lawn - buy these with no hesitation, rural lawns, go bigger and more sturdy."
"i takes 2-3 week to get parts. Its okay if you're cutting a golf course."
