"This tractor is marketed as a garden tractor and I bought it mainly to mow my hillside lawn and was advised that a shaft drive would be a better choice than a belt driven tractor. After purchasing the tractor I then needed a tractor that could plow. That is when I discovered a product void in the availability of attachments and hitches that would allow me to use this garden tractor in the garden. It is fine for mowing and towing a trailer with fire wood, gravel and mulch but really has no plowing capability. Looking for something that can do what I want and currently considering a BCS two wheeled tractor with the rotary plow."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Good reliable mowing machine. Cons: Cannot mow in reverse and is limited for gardening use. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA MO I also considered buying:

"The good: I really like this garden tractor. I only have 1/2 acre but it is about half steep hills with many trees, shrubs and landscaping to traverse. I was looking for a machine that was heavy & stable with a stout transmission and larger rear tires. I also wanted a smaller deck so I could fit through tight areas (and fit on my 4' x 8' trailer). Since Cub sells the garden tractors and decks separately I bought the 2 blade 42" deck. I bought the mulch kit and it minces the leaves so well I haven't had to bag any leaves at all this fall! This tractor also had the tightest turning radius I could find on a tractor of this size, has a rack & pinion set up like a car! The hydro tranny and 23 HP Kohler Command V twin easily mows the hills and pulls my trailer up even when loaded with a yard of mulch! I just bought a 46" front blade so I am ready and waiting for snow! The electric deck lift also lifts the front blade which is really nice. The could be better: The only thing else that I wish it had was a diff. lock, the Green tractor I looked at had it but was also $2000 more. I haven't needed it yet but it would be nice to have if I ever would. The 4 stars for build quality is the cheap head light set up with no off switch, but I do plan to wire in a switch myself. Also, the lenses let water in and get on the hot lamps & blows them, which I found out the first time I washed it. Have not replaced the lamps yet, don't mow at night. ;~)"

Pros: Best buy in a true "garden tractor" I could find. Cons: No diff lock and cheap plastic lights. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA NE I also considered buying: John Deere X500, Husqvarna GTH2548
