Model year: 2003 Date Purchased: 2003-08-02 Number of Hours: 600

"The Kawasaki engine is a complete pain! It is either stalling or not starting at all. I have been around small engines for quite some time and this 25-horsepower is always having carburetor issues. The 7254 uses an electric clutch for the power take-off and is a complete nightmare. Parts are obsolete with this tractor. Cub Cadet customer service is useless to boot. "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Power steering, strong for its size Cons: Poor engine design and electric clutch, lots of plastic Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA ME I also considered buying: Kioti Ck30S HST

"Solid as a rock, but vapor locks on ethanol gas in the summer heat, and will not start in the winter. The carb. is too lean-- starter is too slow. It has a heater in rear for hydraulics and is in a attached garage that is not that cold!! The dealer I purchased from is no longer in business in Council Bluffs, Iowa and the people that took over his business dropped the cub cadet line of tractors."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Strong and tuff little machine. Cons: Carburetor is poorly designed. It needs to be choked warm. Jets are too lean and will not start for snow removal in cold weather. This gas engine has a bad history. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA IA I also considered buying: Bobcat CT122, John Deere 2320, New Holland 1020

"I put the features as 4 because it has no wet lines to rear..the 25 hp Kawaski works great has plenty of power for what i do but does take a while to start cold.(long crank time).I bought this tractor with 90 hours on it and besides normal maintenance I have done no major repairs. The hydro-static trans and loader take a while to warm up at -25 degrees Celsius but that is expected.I am very happy with it and would buy another one."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: price quaility Cons: hydraulics noisy cold Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: CND OT I also considered buying: New Holland TC24
