"I have had five tractors in the past three years. I started with a 2007 Kubota L3240 and priced it to a guy and he took it home. I bought a used Bobcat 35 HP 2009 from a guy in GA. I sold it pretty quickly as it was simply dangerously light for the bucket it had and the 4wheel drive did not seem to pull well in slick conditions. I bought a Gear drive Case Farmall 40 and kept it about six months until deciding I wanted a Hydro drive. I sold the gear drive and bought the same model with Hydro. It is heavy, heavy duty and very fuel efficient. I bush hog six acres, use the bucket for moving rocks and dirt around my place. The thing pulls so well it is unstopable. The bucket lift weight seem a bit anemic. I really believe the Kubota was strong as it had the 714 lift on it. It does quite well though. For the price I paid I am totally happy with the Case. I have the R4 Tires filled and operate a 6' bush hog no problem. 6' impliments seem to work very well on this tractor. It will run all doay on half a tank of desiel fuel. Great tractor value no doubt. "
"Retired from full time farming, bought the Farmal 40 for yard and garden work primarily. Great with 2-14 plow , and 5 ft tiller. Can move 1200 lb bales with 3-pt and loader fork . Need rear weights for loader work. Only put 240 hrs on it so far, but no complaints yet."
