"I use this unit mainly for lawn mowing (it has a 5 ft. underbelly mower) and also pulling a small trailer around on 5 ac. It has a Shibaura 3 cyl. motor which does the job. I purchased S/H a few years back when it had 800 hrs on it."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Generally reliable and easy to operate. Cons: None really. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: AUS OT I also considered buying: Kubota B7100

"I just bought a CaseIH 24DXE with the front end loader (FEL), box scraper, and 8 gang disk. So far it works fine. I bought it from a private seller - so no warranty. Nobody in the area has small sub-compact tractors. The closest JD was 800 miles. JD seems big back East, but only the big units sell in my area. I'm still learning about this unit since it is my first tractor. So far, I've found it has an electric short which prevents the headlights and horn from working. The seller stuck a 30 amp fuse in which sort of hid the defect. CaseIH does not want anybody finding out about older equipment; their website doesn't even reference the sub-compacts. Of course, now that I have researched this site I understand why. I don't need a tractor larger than what I bought, but JD seems to have more subs available than others. I'll let you know how things work out."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Compact and easy to steer. Cons: Local dealer seems not to be interested in selling/informing people about subs. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA NM I also considered buying: Kubota B2320, John Deere 2350
