"I recently purchased a used Agracat 200 tractor. I am new to owning a tractor and cannot offer much advice. However, I can say do not let your tractor run out of fuel. This happened to me as soon as we got the tractor home and drove it off the trailer. We never thought to look at the fuel gauge prior to buying the tractor. The previous owner never mentioned that the tractor needed fuel. I am told the tractor will not start until air is bled from the fuel line. The bad thing is I do not know how to bleed air from the fuel lines. The tractor did not come with all of the manuals and I have not been able to locate a manual for it. Therefore the tractor is sitting in the middle of the field until I can figure out how to bleed the air out of the lines. By the way this is a two cylinder tractor, which I suppose is a good thing, fewer lines to bleed. I am anxious to get it going. It is equipped with a front end loader and a brush hog. It's only 20 hp---not much power for others, but it's just enough for me. As far as I can tell, everything works just fine on it. Before we ran out of fuel it started right up. It's a pretty neat little tractor."
"To the rater above, you state that the tractor is full of mechanical problems yet still give it 5 stars? Please be honest and give an honest rating of the tractor, from what I have read all over the net the Agricat/Agrison tractors are just cheap Chinese junk and give nothing but problems, like all the ones that you have listed above (and they are ongoing problems I might add)."
"The Cons: I had an ongoing problem grounding the battery. I had to "jury rig" the tractor by using booster cables from my auto to the tractor starter in order to crank it. Every threaded hole in the chassis would rust. That is why I couldn't get a ground. Also, I had a hydraulic leak early on. It was an inexpensive seal. Also, the starter went bad quickly. I don't own this tractor now. When I sold my property, the buyers absolutely had to have the tractor. I wasn't going to let a tractor prevent a property sale. "
"I purchased it used. Got a great deal. It has a Koyker bucket and I got a tiller and post holer digger with it as well. I have dug rock so big out of my field that I need a huge tractor to drag them off. I can fill the the bucket full of rocks and it handles it, but is maxed. The only problems I have had is with the 4 wheel drive linkage. The ball bearing spline and coupler design is terrible. I replaced the ball bearings with dowel pins and have not had a strip since."
